PS2 HD Cable ??
Hey Guys,
I know the xbox has a HD add-on you can purchase to output the xbox games over s-video of component. I've even see high quality monter cables. Does anyone know if PS2 has a similar product, that is of decent quality. The only one I could find was a madcatz one for 9 bucks at Walmart. I bought it, but the quality is garbage.
Anyone have any recommendations ??
Thanks,
Jas

Best Buy sells one for $50....
They also have a Monster S-Video, so I would assume Monster put out a Component. I'm sure the improvement will onyl be minimal...nothing is HD for the PS2, right? (I know the XBOX had a few games in 720p and 1080i)

Sony makes an official component cable as well as a bunch of other cheaper companies.

I got the Sony brand component cables at CC as well. Can't complain.
The only warning about buying the Monster brand is that they are video only, so you need to run digital optical audio. The Sony brand has analog audio included.

I don't think any PS2 games are 'HD'.
Some, call it 60 or so, are 480p.

I have a set of cables, they were like 8 bucks from Toys R Us. Not sure what brand they were, they may have been Sony, I seem to recall they were clearanced, and I think they include the audio cable.
I would not pay 50 bucks for them, but 10 or less is fair. The difference with them is not earthshattering, but there is a difference in crispness of edges and color vividity, even on non-480p games.
