What DVDs contain a KING KONG movie ticket?

I know there have been discussions about a couple of DVDs with the King Kong ticket. I remember The Frighteners, but I'm pretty sure there were others... anyone know of any, before I do my DVD shopping for the week?

The new Jurassic Park set has one. I don't remember if The Mummy or Tremors sets do or not.

I don't think this is a Best Buy exclusive in the US, as the versions that Amazon.com is offering also include the free ticket. But in Canada only the sets being sold by Futureshop and (I think) Best Buy have the free ticket inside.

The free ticket for CHRONICLES OF NARNIA in the SKY HIGH DVD is a Best Buy exclusive, but the free ticket for KING KONG can't be because I bought my TREMORS set at Wal-Mart.

Ahhh, ok. I picked up The Frighteners and Sky High at BB last night, and while I remembered the Narnia one being a BB exclusive, I couldn't remember if King Kong was.

I picked up JP on Tues at Target for the steal of a price. I'm fairly low on cash, but I really really want The Frighteners and Tremors releases. Since I have been wanting both films on dvd for years.

My birthday is on Dec 15,and having another free ticket to Kong would be cool. Since it would help save some cash and I could treat my dad to the film or something.

So should I bother buying either dvd release or wait for the time being?

You should buy the TREMORS Attack Pack immediately; I don't know why anyone would want that tripe THE FRIGHTENERS, extended cut or not, but TREMORS you should grab before the sun sets today!

The Frighteners is a fun film and I have enjoyed it since the first time I saw it. I've been waiting for that SE to come to dvd for along time.

The only draw backs are the sale prices. If they are over $20,then you can count me out. I was hoping to find some killer $14.99 deals like the JP set,but no luck with the retailers.

According to some posters in this thread, http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showthread....6&page=1&pp=25, Costco is selling it for $17.99, if you have one in your area (I don't) and, for one particular poster, his local Wal-Mart had it for $14.24, though my Wal-Mart had it for $19.44. So there are some leads...

Your Wal-Mart didn't? In a big stand with the JURASSIC PARK and MUMMY collections? You're the first person to say that about Wal-Mart. I daresay you may want to check them again. Was it an "old school" Wal-Mart or one of the relatively newer supercenters, because maybe you have to go the latter.

Mine was an "old school" W*M and it had the stand. I didn't check any others since I usually hit the one closest to me and it's pretty good regarding DVDs.

Julie - They might have the stand in an odd place away from the DVD area. Mine use to do this until they redesigned the area and now all the stands are in the section between the DVDs and the video games.

I got a sealed copy of Frighteners at a used place I go to here in LA for $14.99, and to my surprise there were two tickets to King Kong inside.

Yeah, to be fair, I walked right by the stand at my Wal-Mart and had to have a helpful Wal-Mart employee guide me back to where it was.

Is the 10.50 movie cash good towards one movie ticket only or can you use the entire 10.50 as credit towards 2 tickets ( like a couple of bargain matinee 6.00 ones) ?

Bought MUMMY and TREMORS sets. Seems like there are a dozen new DVD sets with KING KONG tickets.
