Home Grown! The Beginner's Guide to Understanding The Roots (Vol. 1 & 2) - 11/15/05

Home Grown! The Beginner's Guide to Understanding The Roots (Volumes 1 and 2) was released today. They are both on sale at the B&M stores for $9.99 each this week. They contain original album tracks along with live, unreleased and remixed versions, and full liner notes written by drummer ?uestlove. Anyone pick either of them up yet?

I sampled some of the unreleased songs on iTunes, and they sound pretty good. But as someone who owns all of The Roots' albums, I'm still wondering whether paying $20 for two "best of" CDs is worth it.

Volume One:
1. No Hometro/Proceed 2
2. Distortion to Static [Black Thought Mix]
3. What They Do
4. Next Movement
5. Good Music
6. Lesson
7. Star
8. Hypnotic
9. Silent Treatment
10. You Got Me
11. Clones
12. What You Want
13. Act Too (Love of My Life)
14. Do You Want More?!!!??!
15. It's Comin' [Live]
16. Double Trouble

Volume Two:
1. Din da Da
2. Seed/Melting Pot/Web [Live on BBC Radio One's Worldwide Show with Giles Peterson]
3. Boom!
4. Thought@work
5. Ya'll Know Who
6. Lesson Pt. 3
7. Adrenaline
8. Don't Say Nuthin' [Remix]
9. Pass the Popcorn [Remix]
10. Quicksand Milennium (The Legend of Quicksand Milennium)
11. Break You Off [Dub/Sound Check at Bogarts in Cincinnati, OH 2003]
12. Essaywhuman?!!!!! [Organix Version]
13. No Alibi
14. Sacrifice [Live on BBC's Radio One's Worldwide Show with Giles Peterson]

If anyone picks these up, I'd love to hear your thoughts on them. I have all the Roots albums as well, but these sound interesting. Just curious if the flow of the albums work.
