I've actually got some hope for tonight's episode. I generally find Jason Lee to be funny, and like the Foo Fighters.
Still not agreeing the the Goose-O-Meter... The Carrell episode was a downer for me.

I've given up hope on setting SNL expectations based on a potentially-funny guest...no matter how good they are as comedians, they'll only be as good as the material they work with.

Wait, what's that? A politically-themed opening?
Shock and awe. Shock and awe indeed...
(EDIT: Zell Miller. At least I'll get one chuckle tonight.)
(Double Edit: New, female cast member tonight - Kristen Wiig.)

What I love about SNL this season is the cutting edge nature of the comedy. Indecent Proposal is released and SNL is right there with a skit . . . 12 years later.

I was laughing hard during the Falconer skit. The Caulk skit was funny (and funnier than most of the other skits this season, even if the skit is low-brow, the snappy reparte and timing was the saving grace for the skit).
