Good special. Could've done w/o Aaron Carter, though.
And was it me, or did the reveal on how they did the sub trick seem like CGI? It looked totally fake.

I'm not sure whether or not they were serious about the submarine trick.
At first, I thought it was supposed to be a joke.
(Actually, I thought they would probably raise the sub behind the bubble curtains, surface it, and then drive it away as they started taking away the bubbles while everyone down there was watching the bubbles. But the helicopter thing would work, too, I guess.)

I LOL'ed at the helicopter thing.. was 99.99% sure its fake, but then you never know. Sub was only 8 tonnes.. there are choppers that can do that much right? I mean they pick up tanks 'n stuff
Seriously I doubt that was it but awesome special.. Love P&T.

Half of those tricks they didnt need to show how they did them, i could figure it out by myself. Espically that trick with aaron carter. Who wouldnt know that the big bulky mirror was where everyone was hiding behind.

I thought it was OK overall, though thin at times (Aaron Carter? ugh). Glad I recorded it, because it was also pretty heavy on the commercial breaks and "coming up next" filler. And yeah, the helicopter shot was definitely fake. The sub was actually 800 tons, which is about 50 times the lifting capacity of the largest helicopters.

I like P&T, but I thought it was pretty average. It seemed aimed at 12 year old girls, which is fine, but it's not really something I need to spend 2 hours watching. These guys are way too talented to be doing such lame and obvious tricks too. Penn's narration was funny as always, but that's about it.

I liked the special overall, but it wasn't their best one. However, the closing trick was much better than the terrible one they did on Don't Try This at Home with the obvious foam tires running over Teller. The sub trick was pretty good, but after rewatching the recording I agree the reveal was CGI. That just sucks as it means it had to be faked and I was hoping they wouldn't use editing and camera tricks to pull it off.
Obviously clever editing can make stuff look more amazing than it is. David Blaine and David Copperfield rely on it heavily. The statue of liberty trick was probably the worst piece of magic ever performed. Lets just point the camera somewhere else and pretend its magic is not what I was hoping for from Penn and Teller.
