Ideal version of Nosferatu?

What would be the ideal version of Nosferatu? I'm not really looking for the one with the most special features, or whatever, just the one with the best bang for the buck.

There are two good versions -- Kino and Image. Both have their strengths and weaknesses, but I think the Kino has the best overall picture quality. Sounds like that's the one you want.

The Kino is the best presently available, but there's no "ideal" version. An ideal release would include the original German intertitles, the original musical score, and fully restored and properly tinted versions of the 106 minute original German cut as well as the 94 minute first French cut.

That's the '79 remake. They are talking the original silent.

This topic has been discussed several times previously in this forum:

Best DVD version of original Nosferatu

Best Cabinet of Dr. Caligari and Nosferatu

Which version of Nosferatu is the best (1920s version)?

Please do a search next time.
