"New" Kick-Ass Rock CD (mix)... What else to add to make it kick 65% to 88% more ass?

So I've been playing around with trying to make a perfect CD of really loud kick-ass rock songs that kick ass. But I need your help to make it kick more ass!

The only rule is no artist repeats. I'm not going to list any other rules or preferences, but you should get an idea of what the album will be like based on what I have so far. (Note all songs are under 5 minutes, most under 4).

In no particular order...

Kasabian - "Club Foot"
Le Tigre - "Deceptacon"
Electrelane - "I'm On Fire" (Springsteen cover)
The White Stripes - "Blue Orchid"
The Hives - "A Little More for a Little You"
The Walkmen - "The Rat"
Secret Machines - "Nowhere Again"
Bloc Party - "Banquet" (a bit overplayed at this point)
The Futureheads - "Decent Days and Nights"
Ted Leo and the Pharmacists - "Me and Mia"
David Bowie - "Queen Bitch"
Ikara Colt - "May b 1 Day"
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - "Pin"
Dogs Die in Hot Cars - "Paul Newman's Eyes"
Stereophonics - "Dakota"
Ima Robot - "Song #1"
The Strokes - "Reptilia"
The Bravery - "Give In"
Death From Above 1979 - "Romantic Rights"
Interpol - "Obstacle 1"
Andrew Bird - "Fake Palindromes"
Maxïmo Park - "Postcard of a Painting"
The Russian Futurists - "A Mind's Dying Verse (You and the Wine)"
The Shins - "Know Your Onion"
The King of France - "That's Why"
The Faint - "Agenda Suicide"
Super Furry Animals - "Torra Fy Ngwallt Yn Hir"
Fugazi - "Styrofoam"

Which Radiohead song would fit in? ("National Anthem"? The BBC acoustic version of "I Might Be Wrong"?) Which Franz Ferdinand song? Which Placebo song? ("Taste in Men"? Their cover of "Johnny and Mary"? "Daddy Cool"? )

It needs more cowbell.

I recommend BOC's Dont Fear the Reaper and Motley Crue's Live Wire.

You should change the Faint from Agenda Suicide to The Conductor or Wet from Birth

Metallica's "So What" will always up your kick ass percentage by at least 25%.

Isn't that Ministry?

Another Ministry song to consider, Just One Fix. Or Jesus Built My Hotrod.

hmm, I dig a bunch of your listed bands, but i wouldn't exactly classify the selections as a "kick-ass" mix (metallica, system of a down, foo fighters etc.) - more of an Emo/Indie get-the-blood-pumping compilation. But good selections there. Keep 'Agenda Suicide' - can never get sick of that song. In the same indie vein, I suggest adding Bloodhound Gang's "Pennsylvania" in there too! (it's only 2 mins long or so...)

Definitely add "Jesus Built by Hotrod" or "NWO" by Ministry...

Ehh, when I think of kick-ass hard rock, The Shins don't come to mind. But if that's what gets you off. Ok then.

in regards to Korn - I have the UK single of 'Falling Away from Me' that has a killer drum'n'bass remix of the title song - talk about a different take on the song - brilliant!

The Bus - You've got some very good selections in that list. I have a feeling these are closer to what you were looking for - more in the 'indie' realm that most of the songs you listed fit into...

Apartment - Everyone Thinks I'm Paranoid
Kings Of Leon - The Bucket
Wolf Parade - I'll Believe In Anything OR Grounds For Divorce
Arcade Fire - Neighborhood #3 (Power Out) OR Rebellion (Lies)
Kaiser Chiefs - I Predict A Riot OR Everyday I Love You Less And Less
The Fiery Furances - Single Again

And I second Spoon - I Turn My Camera On (suggested earlier)

Let me know what you think of these.
