Why no Andy Richter Controls the Universe?

Why no Andy Richter Controls the Universe?
I found Andy Richter Controls the Universe to be quite funny. It had a great cast and wonderful writing, but still isn't available on DVD.
This show would be perfect for DVD release because, in addition to the 19 episodes that were shown by Fox, there are 5 unreleased episodes just waiting to be viewed by fans.
Anyone else want this show?

Count me in. I found the show to be hilarious. For some reason, Amazon.com has a link to a dvd release of the show (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...5818?v=glance). Could be a placeholder - possibly a sign of good things to come?

Thanks for your very valuable opinion. I thought the show was freakin' hilarious and would love to own the too-brief complete series.

This title will be released on December 31, 1969. You may order it now and we will ship it to you when it arrives.
Yes, you read it right... it came out on December 31 of 1969. Before VHS was even invented, before the show even aired, it was already available on DVD!
Gord over at TVShowsonDVD.com posted an explanation of this phenomenan, and why Amazon.com are worthless bastards for doing it:

DVD Talk Gold Edition
It was a really good show. I'd buy it in a second.
[wishful thinking]If it does ever come out, I hope we get commentaries on all episodes. [/wishful thinking]

HDNet had been airing the series (including the unaired episodes) in high-definition until recently. If you have access to HDNet, keep an eye on their schedule -- it'll probably pop up again soon.
