With this and Memoirs of a Geisha coming, its going to be a great last couple of months for movies for me...I think I may just have to get that poster of Mad Eye Moody.

If anything, it's a jab at the poster designer as I stand my gound that it looks like a Smallville/Dawson's Creek/Charmed-style ad.

If that's the case, I apologize. I just seem to remember about four years ago you made a post claiming that you weren't really anticipating the first HP movie and Star Wars was your only geeky pleasure next to wrestling. If you have changed, more power to you!
In terms of it looking like a WB teen drama, well, it's a movie released by WB that has a PG-13 rating, thus being aimed at teens. But that doesn't stop you from being right. Personally, I wish they would bring back Drew Struzan who did the poster for the first one; he made it look truly epic!

And while I don't remember that comment 4 years ago... the first movie did indeed convert me and I've gone back and read all 6 books since.

You are right about Struzan, he even made Mallrats look epic!

I want the poster of harry, the dragon, and moody. Simply wicked awesome.
I saw the trailer for the movie at a convention and got all jittery to see the movie. Only a few more weeks! I will call in sick at work if I have to.

Thought I would ad a new HP update:
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire has a running time of 156 minutes and 54 seconds, according to the British Board of Film Classification. That's a mere six seconds shy of what we reported earlier this month based on a reliable source (who apparently rounded up).
Veritaserum reports that the final 13 minutes, which contain the film's credits, are worth sitting through to get some extra laughs.
This length makes it the second longest Potter film after Chamber of Secrets, which clocked in at 161 minutes, even though the book is twice as long.
Thoughts? I am happy that they made this film a little longer than normal films, from what I have heard from fans of the book, there is a lot of material to fit it, so I am glad that they went this route.

For what it's worth, the film contains all the crucial scenes from the book:
Quidditch World Cup
Deatheaters
All three trials
Yule Ball
Voldemort
The rest was just filler.
