TVTalk Draft Game…Voting Round 1…Open to all!
Welcome to round one of the TVTalk Draft Tournament! In this thread, the players drafted a virtual “lineup” of seven seasons from actual television shows. Now, it is up to you, the TVTalk community, to vote on which “Network Executive” has drafted the best lineup.
For round 1, all the players have been randomly paired up. In order to vote, you need to reply to this post telling me who you think has the best lineup. Your vote will not count unless you vote on every pair!
Players in the game are also allowed to vote. Optionally, they are also allowed to post to this thread telling everybody why they think you should vote for their lineup.
So, let the voting begin! The polls close on Monday, October 10, at the exact time of the timestamp of this post (non-weekend rounds will last 24 hours). Match-ups will be listed in the first reply to this post.
Good luck to all the participants!

Ouch. I draw das in round one?
Matchups 2 and 6 were the toughest ones for me. There wasn't much I really liked in either lineup when it came to matchup 6, while there was an overabundance of things I liked in 2. I voted for scott27 mostly because Mhepburn20 chose LOST as his first round pick. I don't think it was worthy of that status. ryuryu2949 got my vote despite a lineup that trails off in my opinion because it is just so strong on the first couple of nights of the week.
Groucho said jokingly that Damfino was the winner when he made his last pick, but I am going to go ahead and choose him as my projected winner. That's one tough lineup.

Good luck to everyone else who is playing first off.
Now, my first round votes and commentary:
I guess I should say my voting decisions were made mostly on what channel I would watch. Secondarly, I awarded points (in my head) for creative lineups, as well as great late round picks.
1) Das. Jimmy has a really good lineup on paper, but I don't watch those shows. I'd definately be watching Das' channel.
2) ryuryu. A tough choice, but I think ryu made some great choices, especially in the later rounds. A lot of comedy, but it's a lot of GREAT comedy.
3) cleaver. I'm a fan of Star Trek, but the entire 2nd half of Damfino's lineup doesn't interest me at all. Cleaver had some great picks in later rounds, great job picking up Battlestar/Transforms/Lost so late.
4) Mitsurugi. Great choices, I think Enterprise was a bold choice, but a good one. I'm not a huge fan of Xena, but the other choices make up for it. MDC, I just don't wantch many of those shows, sorry.
5) Jfrost. Neither of these lineups are very strong, but I like the choices of Dead Like ME, ER and MacGyver.
6) Scott27. Wow, what a tough call. Two very strong lineups. I like Scott's mixture of older shows along with newere ones, a bit heavy on the comedy though.,. Mhep, great lineup as well, it was just a matter of what shows I watch.
7) Tanman. A bit heavy on Star Trek, but I like Star Trek, good dramas and late round picks as well.
8) Apeyard. I have a feeling Apeyard is going to trample through some great lineups, Sweet Baby James' included. Incredible picks Apeyard.

I come to gloat about my first round bye. All you Middle Tenneesee State's and Costal Carolina's are left to fight it out
Alright, enough BSing, off to my picks:
1) das - he turned me on to Babylon 5, which was an excellent pick, and I'll give it up to the A-Team
2) B.A. - I'll give a nod to anyone who takes Miami Vice
3) cleaver - he took Battlestar Galactica right before I was, so you know I like that one. Plus Classic Simpsons and Cheers episodes
4) mdc3000 - the two Alias seasons facing, off. Gotta go with Lena Olin in a tight one. Plus Scrubs, Arrested Development, and Rescue Me. All stuff I'd gladly watch
5) jfrost - he took Deadwood, although Batman the animated series is also a nice choice for lokimok
6) Mhepburn20 - Farscape and Lost and two tough shows to overcome in my book
7) Tanman - is that supposed to be two Deep Space nine seasons?
8) apeyard

I'd like to abstain from my own vote, but since we have to vote on every one, and voting for my opponent would be silly ...
1. das Monkey
2. I pity the fool that goes against B.A.
3. "A Piece of the Action" and "FIRE!" vs. two wild and crazy guys who have never been in my kitchen? Very, very hard choice, but would you believe Damfino gets it by that much.
4. This one's close. mdc3000: Chicken dance trumps fat Troi.
5. Ouch ... um ... are you my Caucasian?!? Little comedy vs. little drama? jfrost is a little HBO-heavy, but I can't fight it ... this round.
6. No fair. *shakes fist* "Trapper Keeper" and "Monorail" vs. Chuckles and a couple of Crichtons! I feel like a meathead, but I have to go with Mhepburn20 on the strength of programming variety.
7. Too much Trek for later rounds, but hard to deny the well lit schedule of "Inner Light" and "In the Pale Moonlight". Tanman
8. Too easy. "Two Cathedrals", "City on Fire", Time-Time-Tony. Let's hug it out, apeyard.

1- Jimmy James (highlights: Seinfeld, Dallas S3)
2- ryuryu2949 (who else, right? good luck though B.A.)
3- Cleaver (even though I have the better SNL season, lol)
4- Mitsurugi (not a huge fan of either lineup, but Married with Children won me over)
5- lokimok (loved jforst's cop rock pick, but his lineup is too HBO-Sho heavy)
6- scott27 (even though I love my so called life; scott27 has great all in the family and simpsons seasons)
7- Triple S (easy choice: love Chappele and the Office, ambivalent about Star Trek)
8- Sweet Baby James Z(another close one, but gotta go with 24, South Park, and Get a Life)
