I love this show.

I just watched the first two episodes over the weekend, and was pleasantly surprised at how funny they were. I like the new Pam a lot more than the old Dawn from the BBC show. She was on one of the most recent TVGuide Podcasts, and she seems pretty similar to the character she plays.

damn, I just graduated from CSU in the business building, and all we ever did was play our "hallway olympics".

we had hallway darts, throw crap from the 5th floor and catch it, computer chair races, etc.

then of course, we just realized that we can bring in our PS2 and Xbox, and play those on 100" screens in the unoccupied classrooms.

then we started bringing beer on campus and drinking in between and during class.

why is the best semester always the last?

The show doesn't work as well for me when they leave the office. The Olympics were great, and the stuff between Dwight and Michael was also good. The whole just seemed like less than the sum of the parts, though.

"NOBODY LIKES BEETS!"

I didn't care for the office stuff after Michael and Dwight left.

Good to see Carrell can now get his wife work.

I thought both elements of the show worked. A lot better then when they were doing the awards at the bar.

I thought they both worked as well.

Michael and Dwight had a great thing going this episode. Loved Dwight's sunglasses, and died the second time he tried to take the top of the car down and got rejected.

I noticed that, too.

The best part of the show was that one lady talking about Pam Pong.

I couldn't stop laughing during the national anthem. This was a really good episode. I think it's gotten better as they've moved into writing their own stories. Also, they've either toned down Michael a little bit or I'm just getting used to him. He seems more likable so far this season. Particularly this episode and the office party at Chili's.

I think one of the biggest complaints from the first season was Michael being an over the top asshole, which they seemed to have fixed in this season. The show as a whole has benefitted greatly from this.

I totally agree. I LOVED this sitcom in season one--I own the DVD and have watched it multiple times. But this season just drags for me. There are a few smiles here or there, but for the most part, I find myself just staring at the TV. I wish they'd get back to what makes this series great: the office.

They ran the first couple on Bravo, but I didn't see it on the schedule when I glanced. That may have changed.

I know NBC is running the three episodes of My Name Is Earl this weekend or next. You may also want to check for something like that.

"Kevin, this is a great game, what do you call it?"

"Hateball because Angela hates it when we play it."

[Angela glares at them]

"We also play 'Who can stuff the most M&M's in there mouth at one time?'."

"Only you play that."

I loved the bit about the bronze medals actually being the other side of the gold medals, so "no flipping".
