Does anyone know how many episode were in the second season of Arrested Development?

I had the second season saved on DVR and want to make sure I have all the episodes. If anyone has a website that tells you this kind of information please post that! Thanks in advance.

Yeah - it's 18. Remember the season finale (or was it the episode before that?) when Michael was on the phone with a builder\developer complaining about them "reducing the number of houses in the development from 22 to 18"? That "joke" wasn't for nothin'..

There is no joke that is for nothin' on this show.

Do we need an Arrested Development sub-forum?

that is freakishly short for a full season. I didnt notice it when watching that season, but a full 22 would have been an extra month of new shows.

I DO remember the season finale came alot earlier than other shows, I think they tried to end it before May sweeps started.

They reduced the order and no one was sure they were doing a 3rd season. Which is why the last one of S2 tied up all the loose ends (except for the mystery of Anyong - where is that guy?). I remember DCross going on some late night show and talking about how Fox is going to cancel them.

S3 is trying to throw the show down a new arc, 3 eps in and I think it's working. ::

Michael: "Reducing the order from 22 to 18? We had plans for those houses."

Narrator: "No, they didn't. <pause> But they would've!"
