Hot Chocolate: The Pam Grier Collection 12.06.05

from davis dvd

The Pam Grier Collection featuring Foxy Brown, Coffy, Sheba Baby plus an exclusive bonus disc (SRP $29.95) due 12.06.05

Looks like Sony is repacking some other titles with a bonus disc (Breakin, Species, Amityville,) Here is to hoping for anamorphic tranfers this time around...the soul cinema sets need that.

Have any of the other collections actually been remastered, or were they all just relabled. After the Graduate fiasco I have doubts in MGM.

dvddrive-in.com says Coffy is still non-anamorphic. Foxy and Sheba were already anamorphic.

Coffy 16x9 in new boxset?

I read Ian Jane's review for Fox In A Box, The Pam Grier boxset. He states that all films are anamorphic. Does anyone have the set that can verify? They look to be the same exact discs previously issued, and Coffy was not anamorphic. I read the review over at DVDDrive-in and they state Coffy is not 16x9. No offense to Ian, but his reviews tend to be a bit sloppy so I was wondering if anyone could verify.

So, does anyone have the boxset who can confirm either way? There are 2 opposing reviews here.

My Coffy is non-anamorphic in that boxset, just packages the old discs together with an extras disc

^ not sure why you take that at word either. Ian wrote it in his review, then when the question was posed in the review thread he responded with

I make no claim, as I have not viewed the new set. Just posting what Ian not only posed but confirmed later. With the dvd drive in review and drush999 weighing in, I wouldn't mind some more sources to confirm or deny.

the big oops from Ian Jane

Foxy Brown - 16x9
Sheba, Baby - 16x9
Coffy - letterboxed (not 16x9)
