This looks good, and this will be my first UPN show to watch. I hope they did not show all the good stuff in the commercials.

I saw this pilot on DVD from Entertainment Weekly 3 weeks ago. It was actually very funny. Too bad it is scheduled at 8pm on Thursday which is like the most competative time slot of the week! Oh UPN

My DVR is set. I think this show has the potential to be hilarious.

This show should be good, but I don't logically understand why they premiere at against SO much competition? If the show was established already, I'd understand.

Apparently UPN wants to come in a strong 5th instead of a normally crappy 5th.

I think UPN's thinking is that there's a sitcom audience (the Friends viewers) out there at 8:00 that was disappointed with Joey, and that doesn't watch Survivor, or the 3 dramas in that timeslot.

Anyway, like I said in the other thread, I really enjoyed this episode when I watched it thanks to EW, and I hope it a) stays this good, and b) gets good ratings.

I'd love to watch it, but Survivor, Joey, and the OC are already battling for my DVR and VCR.. Too bad, maybe I'll catch it on reruns.

This is actually one of the better pilots I've seen this season. I'm a bit surprised at the number of good new sitcoms this year. I think The Office was the only new sitcom I watched last year. This year, My Name is Earl, Kitchen Confidential, and Everybody Hates Chris all had very promising pilots.

I saw this via the EW preview DVD that showed up last week. I thought it was okay, but I couldn't believe the glowing review that the writer gave in the AJC today (Atlanta newspaper).

I've seen it, too. It was well. Nothing special. Didn't like it as much as HIMYM or KC but it had funny parts.

"I will slap your name out the phone book and call Ma Bell and tell her I did it"

I thought it was good.

It was decent, but I didn't really laugh. I like the parents. Having a kid as the main character could be a problem, since he doesn't seem to be that great of an actor.

Not as good as the critics made it out to be (at least looking at the pilot anyways) but is good nonetheless.

Couple of very funny moments especially when Chris was on the bus and the pregnant lady didn't want to sit beside him and he said "Wait until she brings OJ home".

I'm sticking with this show however long it last.

I thought it was pretty funny. Funnier than almost any other sitcom on television, that's for sure.

I thought it was great...the dad quoting the cost of everything was hilarious! "Unplug that clock! You don't need to see the time while you sleep...that's 2cents an hour!"

I dumped "Joey" for this. I made the right choice.

It was pretty surprising to see a white kid call a black kid the n-word during a sitcom on the family hour.

Watched it based on the reviews, underwhelmed to say the least. That kid can't act. It definitely won't be bumping any of my Thursday shows off the list.

Was that Terry Crews from the Chargers?

I thought the show was hilarious. The parents were great, and I didn't think the kid did a bad job either.

My only complaint would be that a lot of the material is similar to Rock's standup routines.

That's pretty much the point, I think. Similar to Bill Cosby's "Fat Albert" show.

I'm disappointed. I smiled once or twice but not nearly as funny as I hoped.
