Event Horizon Special Edition Specs!

recently rated bonus materials for the disc have just been revealed over at the British Board of Film Classification. They include: three deleted & extended scenes ("Briefing," "Extended Medical Bay," "Extended Burning Man Confrontation"), four "The Point of No Return" featurettes ("The Crew Gathers," "The Dark Inside," "The Revolving Corridor," "Shooting Wire Work"), "The Unseen Event Horizon" ("Unfilmed Rescue Scene," "Conceptual Art Montage") and a five-part, 102-minute "Making Of" documentary ("Into the Jaws of Darkness," "The Body of the Beast," "Liberate Tutume Ex Infernis," "The Scale to Hell," "The Womb of Fear").

heres the catch..... this disc is only confirmed in the UK so far, but hopefully, soon, now that the disc is completed, we'll see it in the United States soon.

The only P.W.S. Anderson movie I would even consider getting for The Collection. Can't wait!

Good to hear. Been waiting on an anamorphic version of this as well. Probably far-fetched, but I'd like to see a Prodigy video for "Funky Shit", especially if it was 5.1.

Wow, finally a better version. I hope the deleted scenes really add to the movie!!! I have always said this movie had alot of potential but didn't deliver to fullest extent possible.

i heard that the movie it's self was extended by Paul WS Anderson, and the deleted scenes on the dvd are from the workprint and they are shitty with no special effects, but the scenes put back in the movie are the scenes that the studio made Anderson take out! I remember when this movie came out, (right after Anderson did Mortal Kombat) i read and article that said he was the next James Cameron! Of course, Soldier changed all that.

I am stoked too, but it's only for the UK right now. Here's to hoping we see it over here across the pond soon.

I saw this movie in the theaters when i was 12 and it scared the shit out of me. So, naturally, i cant wait. Apparently this special edition cut of the movie is 25 minutes longer, but the only thing we have so far are the special features, not the movie run-time.

This bodes ill for the U.S. I dont see the U.K getting a non Directors Cut release and us getting the much ballyhooed extended directors cut. Thats what Anderson promised years ago and I aint buying anything but that version.
