"The Batman" (cartoon) Season Two started today and...

... and they ruined it!!!!!!!

And it all started with the new intro and the new theme song (based on the Adam West show's version) and they have to go and throw Bat Girl into the mix.

Oh well, I'll give it a few more eps.

But I'm not happy.

Wait, they "ruined" it? It was completely awful to begin with.

Just what I was about to post.

I don't mean it to be a thread crap but I gave up on this show just a couple episodes into it.

I hung in with this show and believe it or not the writing got better IMHO! I thought they had some pretty solid episodes. Now about the new opening music...slimply terrible. The design for Bat-Girl's costume just plain sucks. The color scheme is some kind of homage to the Bat-Girl costume in the Adam West series. I will watch a few more episodes and see what happens but I have my doubts. I hope they haven't written off Detective Yin. I liked her as Batman's secret partner!

Take care all!!

I was thinking the same thing. Horrible show.

I thought the show was going in the right direction, with the addition of Commish Gordon and some of the baddies they were using. I haven't watch this yet, as I just got home from a vacation, so I'll reserve judgment on the new stuff yet.

I think it's a good series. I didn't think I would like the new take on many of the characters but they did a cool job and they work very well.

Ok, the new intro sucks but so did the old one. At least it's a nod to the original series. As for adding Batgirl, I'm not terribly stoked about that. She was weak in TAS, so I never really had much liking for her. I do like that they are starting to ad more villains into the fold. It was sort of boring to see Joker, Penguin, Riddler and Clayface all the time.

About the only thing interesting in bringing in Batgirl is it's the first time I've seen her introduced before Robin in a Batman-related show/movie.

100% agreement. I think those of you that gave up early in are missing a good program now. It doesn't hold a candle to Batman: The Animated Series but it has a nice X-Men: Evolution vibe that I dig.

As for the opening song and sequence being changed, I didn't especially care for it, but I didn't much care for the old one either. Since I always fast forward through it anyway, I really didn't think twice about it.
