"The movies" by Peter Molyneux; anyone curious?
I just might pick this one up come november just to see. It comes out on the PC (and later on consoles, next gen maybe?) and the clips I've seen so far are very nice.
I'm just worried that my options will be limited movie-making wise; what if I want to film a gang of midget mimes fighting rabid ninja babies and then have them break into song?
Ok I'm exagerrating a bit but I'm worried about the creative "limits"...
I've read the FAQ a bit and you can go story mode (from the 1920's to today) or just go sandbox mode where you choose the decade and technology available.
Anyway, there's some clips here if you want to check it out (and some on Gamespot too):

I guess Molyneux suffers from the "Genius syndrome who's not aware of budget and time restraints" thingie

Actually I was thinking about this game the other day, sounds interesting, but now that I know Molyneux is involved, I am less excited.
Should be a good game for all the critics at dvdempire to step into the director's chairs. I shall build my own porn empire.

I've been looking forward to this game for a while. Although the story mode seems fun I'm really looking forward to the sandbox mode. I'm not sure how much control you have over your movie, but I'm planning on pushing this game to its limits unless it gets very bad reviews. It would be great if you could position the camera wherever you'd like and have some control over the lens type, but I'm going to wait and see.
