You know, for everything that I've seen, this really looks like a lackluster year for new shows. Really the only show I'm going to definitely Tivo is My Name Is Earl. I guess I could do Prison Break just to fire up the HDTivo for something new. Invasion looks OK, but for some reason it's not really grabbing me.

Definitely checking out Rome, and probably My Name is Earl. No interest is Prison Break or Reunion, although the latter does have an original premise.

I saw previews for a show, I can't remember the title, with Chris O'Donnell and Adam Goldberg as two lawyers. That seemed interesting.

I'll have to pick up the special season preview edition of TV GUIDE. I used to love getting that as a lad.

The one's I'll check out.

Rome
Prison Break
Just Legal
Commander in Chief
My Name is Earl
E-Ring
Freddie
Reunion
Chris Rock (whatever the name of that show is)
Hot Properties

Half of the new shows involves ghosts or aliens (cloning Lost) and none of them sound any good - I'll be passing on all of them.

I am checking out many mentioned here like Prison Break, Reunion, etc.

I am also somewhat excited for Martha Stewart: The Apprentice. (where's the embarrassed smiley?)

I'm a sucker for previews and get drawn to premiers easily, so I'll check out the initial episodes of a lot of shows. I'll probably Tivo all of the Lost clones to see them once, as well as some of the comedies. Prison Break I can see myself sticking with, especially with its early start. Reunion looks like it could be interesting, so I'll give it a shot. And Rome sounds like it could be good.

After the first few weeks of premiers, I'll probably cut it back to the 3 or 4 that I liked the most.

Same here. The trio of clones:

Invasion
Surface
Threshold

and for sure
Prison Break
My Name is Earl

I don't usually watch first seasons though, waste of time getting invested only to have them cancelled after 4-6 weeks.

B.A. said "Threshold, because of Carla Gugino."

I second that. It doesn't look all that good to me, but the buzz has been favorable so far.

Invasion looks good and I will probably take a look at Rome and E-Ring

It took me awhile to figure out what this Surface show was (since I didn't remember it from the up-front announcements last spring) but it looks like they changed the name of the show. It was originally supposed to be called Fathom, which I think is a much cooler name, but I guess they thought people wouldn't know what that was.

I watched that NBC preview today and none of their new shows look that great, with teh exception of My Name is Earl. But I am usually not much of an NBC fan. I will also check out Inconceivable, just because the idea of a show set in a fertlility clinic is so bizarre I want to see how it is done.

I noticed that a lot of people are watching My Name is Earl and Invasion. I saw the pilot for My Name is Earl and it is not that good, a little boring actually. All the networks have scifi shows coming out this fall and to be honest, none of them look that good. The whole alien topic is a little old and not that scary anymore. To be honest the only scifi show I'm very interested in watching is "Supernatural" on The WB. Don't judge it because it's on The WB, it's actually really good and more original that what's out there right now. Each episode is based on an urban legend and follows two brothers in search of their father who's looking for the evil supernatural force that killed his wife. Has anyone seen the previews?

I'm checking it out because it doesn't look like a typical sitcom and because it has Jamie Pressley and what looks to be another hottie. That being said, I am somewhat skeptical since it comes from the creator of Yes, Dear, which quite possibly is the worst comedy in the history of television (how it has been on 5 years is the greatest mystery of the universe IMO).

Only Kitchen Confidential and maybe Everybody Hates Chris. I'll also watch The Unit but that's midseason.

Actually, the show I am probably looking most forward is also a midseason replacement: Crumbs (with Fred Savage) on ABC. It is a twisted comedy, much in the same way Titus was.
