Once and Again

I just purchased "Once and Again Season Two" on DVD yesterday, and I was wondering if anyone can tell me why it took over three years for this to come out after the first season? It seems extremly weird to me, because "Felicity Season One" came out the same day as "Once and Again Season One," yet Felicity's four season were all released before the second season of Once and Again. Did OaA, not sell well or where they're problems with legal or something? Thanks for your Information!

Sales were poor, really poor. I am actually surprised we got season two at all. I think a better question is why did they change their mind? Maybe they figured the market for TV on DVD had changed so perhaps this kind of release would get a better reception this time around?

Once and Again, Felicity, and My So Called Life all came out on the same day from the same company (if I recall right). Felicity and My So Called Life did phenominal business, but Once and Again barely got noticed.

Was Once and Again the show where John Goodman died and the secret agency brought him back to life in a different super human body?? It was headed up by President Palmer from 24. That was a good show.

This is a sensational show and my most wanted TV release. I'm ecstatic S2 has been released and will be buying it for sure.

Terrific Show. Maybe the studio should've smartened up and lowered the MSRP of both seasons. That wouldve stimulated more sales ...

Look at Mary Tyler Moore Show Season 1. That was overpriced and the studio didnt want to release any more seasons because sales were so poor.

Season 2 of MTM had much better sales because the MSRP was drastically cut.

Thankx... I figured it was poor sales... But like it was said above, now that tv-on-dvd has taken off so much in the last couple of years, the sales could be better this time around (especially since season 1 was rereleased).

I thought I read somewhere that they hoped to capitalize on Billy Campbell being on The O.C.

I don't watch The O.C., but if it helps me get O&A on DVD

I'm grateful that the rest of Once and Again is finally being released -- the 3rd and final season is almost guaranteed. Now if we could only get Herskovitz-Zwick's crowning achievement: thirtysomething. I am dying for this to come on DVD. Has anyone heard anything about it?

Just to correct the above, MSCL (which is by the same creators as ONCE AND AGAIN) was not released on the same day. And, even though Disney owns the rights to it now, it was released by BMG Special Products.

MSCL is now out of print but who knows, maybe Disney will rerelease it whenever they get around to releasing OAA season three.

It is a great show. I believe with Billy Campbell now on THE OC, Sela Ward on HOUSE and one of the kids on ER, that may have helped it. Plus, Patrick Dempsey from GRAY'S ANATOMY has a recurring role. An amazing cast. Even The OC's Seth Cohen pops up in it.

Ooops. They were released a week apart, but they came out awfully close together!

thirtysomething has music rights issues.

This page offers slight promise of a release.

Buena Vista had originally scheduled Season 3 for this past January, and there was cover art and all -- does anyone know what's happening with this? It's the final season!

Has Anything been reported on this? It's really annoying season's 1 and 2 sitting on my shelf without season 3...

I have been dreaming of Season 3 coming out...I remember an interview where Sela Ward mentioned doing commentary for it, and a date was set, then rescheduled--with cover art popping up on sites--only to disappear. I hope this eventually sees the light of day....what a great show...

It'll be a "not-bad" update, but don't get your expectations in the clouds, either. Might end up being tomorrow or even on the holiday before it gets posted. We've got a lot of stuff going on right now, so bear with us!

I never watched the show on TV, but bought it on DVD and quickly became addicted. I hope Season 3 comes out soon.

And since it's the same creators, I believe, where is thirtysomething?!?!
