Old Games That You Miss

I really miss Crash Bandicoot (huge fan!!), I wonder why Naughty Dog Ended the series?. Now Don't get me wrong Naughty Dog's new Jak series is good, but...I really miss Crash.

So with that in mind, what old games (that have been terminated, ect) do you miss? It can be any kind of game. (PC, PS, PS2, ect).

I miss REAL Final Fantasy games (I-VI plus IX).

I think Universal bought Crash and Spyro which is why you see a lot of garbage versions of these guys now.
I think both developers when on to make better franchises (Jak and Ratchet & Clank).

I miss the old PC point and click adventure games. Too many to list, but Grim Fandango was among the best of them.

As silly as it sounds, the Hamtaro game on GBA reminded me A LOT of those old adventure games.

Don't know if I could leave the house with that one, but I'm hoping Trace Memory comes through as a decent game.

HA...OLD games.. PS... I was thinking Atari, NES, Genesis...

I miss CONTRA! I hooked up my old Nintendo just to play that one. Ayrton Senna Racing on Genesis too. And those crappy live action ones where ya gotta go from room to room on Sega CD. That was campy fun. The one with the gal from Diff'rent Strokes.

I'd like to see CONTRA on DS or SP.

I could go for another Tex Murphy game...loved that series...

...but yeah, pretty much any point and click adventure game would make me happy about now.

There is a new company called Tell Tale Games...which is made up of people that worked on games in the past such as Grim Fandango and Sam & Max Hit the Road. They are supposedly going to try to bring back the classic adventure game.

Looks like their first project is "Bone". Not much of a fan of the comic...don't really know much about it at all to be honest - but I figure I'll give it a shot.

Monkey Island. Always has been my favorite game series. I'd love to see another one.

If you miss those games, you should check out Indigo Prophecy that comes out in about a month. It takes the heart of those old point and click adventure games but then coats it in the veneer of a slick modern action game like Metal Gear Solid 2, complete with flashy, near-Hollywood quality cinematics. If the demo is any indication, this game could be amazing. I'm guessing it'll probably turn out to be more of a niche title like Syberia 1 & 2 and Still Life, but it would be great if this game could really find an audience.

I miss Tecmo Bowl. And Cyber Bowl. And, of course, NFL 2K.

From my Genesis, I miss Herzog Zwei and non-online Phantasy Star. Though the latter seems to be coming back. (on a side note, it's amazing to me that they fit PS 1-3 on a GBA cart, but where's my PSIV, the only one I couldn't afford?)

Kid Icarus, where are you?

I really miss Final Fantasy X. They don't make games like that nowadays. Wow, talk about nostalgia!

Damn - two of my favorites! Apparently Tecmo Bowl will be in next month's Tecmo Classic Arcade. Not sure what year's rosters, though - I assume EA's deal would prevent 2005 rosters?
