But he doesn't specifically mention a SE of the movie, just something he is working on that would appeal to fans of the movie.

Uh, I think he mentioned that the documentary would be interesting for those who loved the shitfes.... errr, film known as Freddy Got Fingered.

I could never see Fox re-releasing Freddy Got Fingered on DVD, as it's a packed one-disc special edition already in the $5.50 bin at Wal-Mart.

Did the world really need this film in the first place, let alone a Special Edition...

Freddy Got Fingered was Tom Green's prank on the movie going public, and a brilliant one at that.

I'd almost managed to block that movie out of my memory, and then somebody has to bring it up again. FGF is like Salo but without the artistic value.

Instead of trying to put out an edition of this movie we don't need, why doesn't Tom Green find a way to get his MTV talk show put on DVD? That was good television!

Wait just a fucking second. You did NOT just compare this piece of poo to Apollo 13 did you?

I saw this shitfest in the theater when I lost a bet. The best part of the movie is when a guy in a crowd shot holds up a sign that says "When is this fucking movie over?" or something to that effect.

What a stinker. $5.50 is $4.49 more than it is worth.

It's funny how someone makes a thread about a Freddy Got Fingered SE, everyone craps on it, and no one cares. But when someone says their constructive criticism about Criterion or something, many of you try to jump through your monitors and tear the poster's face off.

Yea the movie sucks, but it's damn funny. I don't see what else they could add to the SE tho. The way I read the post is that it might have some stuff about Freddy Got Fingered, but is also more of that style.

Uhh...okay, I'm a fan of crap movies but this was one of those movies, that sticks out as being absolutely horrible IMO. I love all the jackasse movies, the Super Troopers, Something About Mary, Dumb & DUmber and I THOUGHT i might like FGF but it was just crap. The acting was terrible and SOOOOO overforced, the storyline horrible...the only redeeming thing was the decent lookin chick but isn't that with pretty much all movies?

I've always hoped Rip Torn was just desperately trying to support a raging cocaine habit when he agreed to this film. Maybe the SE will be a director's cut where the funny parts are put back into the film.

It may be just me, but that quote sounds literally nothing like what the headline suggests. I have no idea how you would extrapolate that information.

Good point, actually. Green did mistakenly use the plural lovers, which I suppose can be attributed to being a typo.
