wowww that looks familiar. But i'm not remembering if I ever watched it.

Either way, good news for people who want cartoons from Nick from the 80's. This gives me hope that some of the stuff I liked as a kid may also one day be put on dvd.

Hey all,

Every few years this cartoon will pop into my head. I remember it... Actually, I always remembered the opening credit sequence with the little prince standing up on the edge of something and looking up -- i clicked on the imdb link, and bingo! - I remembered it exactly all these years...

I remember either right before or right after Nick showed the little prince, another cartoon came on - it was like GREEN FORREST or something like that (at least those words are in the openeing song). I remember different animals and more vividly, a robion flying through the air. Remember that one?

Remember Turkey TV?

Although they are more recent than the above shows, i also liked camp Anawanna, and Hey Dude!

There are great websited out there that have every bit of detail about all of these old shows....

Later,

Matt

P.S. "Camp Anawanna, we hold you in our hearts...."

Man, I THINK I remember this show. Was the credit sequence him walking on the planet as it rolled around or something? This might be one of those good blasts from the past worth picking up but it's a high dollar amount to risk that on.

I hear the Little Prince is from outer space and can catch a shooting star and sail away. He lives in a house on a tiny planet. Population: The Little Prince.

Pixy,

Yep -- that's how I remember it -- He was walking around on the planet. Actually, i never watched the show, i just remember the credits - that reminded me that it's time to turn the channel! (unless i am forgetting that i liked it -- i'll have to see)

Later,

Matt

I watched this on Nickelodeon as a young child. I recently found an episode floating around online that I downloaded. I am thrilled to see this is coming out. I have a young child at home and I am glad he will have the opportunity to see this enchanting little show.

On a personal level, I've always loved the book ever since I was a little kid. I had no idea Nick had a cartoon based on the book. How similar are they?

The Green Forest was about all these animals that lived in the forest and tried to avoid men and other animals and, in essence, survive while getting into all these adventures.

The main character was Johnny (a woodchuck or beaver...can't recall) and he had a girlfriend named Polly.

There was also Reddy Fox, Jay the BlueJay, an old frog, an otter etc. I recall one show where the frog gets captured by a nearing farm and put in a bucket and the other animals try to rescue him.

* * *

As for the Little Prince...that rose was hot.
