George A. Romero's City of the Dead (PC, PS2, Xbox)

There was a little write-up on this game in this month's PC Gamer. It's a zombie FPS (duh), and it looks like it could be a lot of fun. Romero will direct the cut-scenes, and Tom Savini will be doing voice acting. The plot seems to resemble the original Day of the Dead script.

The game uses the Havok engine, and apparently you can shoot limbs and things off the zombies and they just keep coming until you shoot them in the head. There's also apparently a mode where you try to kill as many zombies in a single shot as possible (like the Crash mode in Burnout 3).

This is one I'll be keeping my eye on.

I saw this in the newest XBOX mag....looks decent.

Keep in mind, Hip Games, the publisher/developer, is not defunct. I beleive the game will still be finished....but there may be problems...Someone wanna link a news article?
