Which Naked Gun Movie?
Which one has the hilarious scene of Frank Drebin out on a building ledge holding on to an obscene statue when a lady thinks he is some kind of pervert?
Thanks

I thought the Dirty Harry reference was hilarious, since I had never noticed it before.
I don't remember how the exact dialogue went. But it was a take on Harrys "When you see a naked man chasing a girl down an alley with a butchur nice.." and talks about shooting the bastard.
In the Naked Gun,it is similar, only it has Drebin talking about gunning down some people in a park since they were attacking each other with knives and swords. Only it turns out it was an innocent theater group doing Shakespeare in the park.
Oh well,it's much funnier when you hear the dialogue delivered in dead pan fashion making it laugh out loud hilarious!

I like in the 2nd one where he's discussing who he is dating with the guy Jane is going out with.
(Paraphrasing)
"Oh i'm going out with a woman who wrote the book on male sexual disfunction, i'm sure you've read it."
I die laughing every time he sings the national anthem in the first movie.

If you like the naked gun movies you have to check out Police Squad.
It was a very short lived TV show with Leslie Nielsen and it is the same type of campy humor. Very funny.
I remember I borrowed it from Blockbuster quite a few years ago. The entire series is only a few episodes long.

And when, oh when, will Police Squad! be released on DVD? It's only six 30-minute episodes, so all can fit on a single DVD disc.
Of the Naked Gun movies, the first one is the best. But Police Squad! is even better than all of the movies combined.

Oh god, that has me falling out of my chair everytime!
I noticed part 1 & 3 in the $5 bin at Wal-Mart. Now if only I could find part 2,I'd pick them all up for a wopping $15-$17 dollers
...and yes Police Squad was a hilarious show!

One of my favorite scenes is when Frank is arguing with the umpires ("He was safe!" "He was out!") when Frank see's Reggie with the gun so he pulls his gun out and the umpires immediatly change their stance on the argument "He was safe, he was safe, your the boss".
That kills me every time.

...sorry I couldn't resist another.
"Protecting the Queen's safety is a task that is gladly accepted by Police Squad. No matter how silly the idea of having a queen might be to us, as Americans we must be gracious and considerate hosts."

My favorite part of the first one is where
Frank tries to frisk all of the baseball players in the middle of the game.
Runner up:
Frank and Jane walking out of PLATOON while laughing hysterically.

I love when Drebbin and the guy on the pier are bribing each other for information.
"Why do you wanna know?"
"No reason."
"Can I borrow a $20?"
"Sure."
(Waves the $20)"Now why do wanna know?"
That and the tape floating in the water where Nordberg fell overboard.

Well, when I see five weirdos dressed in togas, stabbing a man in the middle of the park in front of a full view of 100 people, I shoot the bastards, that's my policy.

Favorite from the first (aside from him calling strikes as an umpire and dancing):
[offering a cigar]
Vincent Ludwig: Cuban?
Frank: No, Dutch-Irish. My father was from Wales.
Favorite from 2nd (aside from the sexual disfunction line):
Lt. Frank Drebin: Now, Jane, what can you tell us about the man you saw last night?
Jane Spencer: He's Caucasian.
Ed Hocken: Caucasian?
Jane Spencer: Yeah, you know, a white guy. A mustache. About five-foot-ten.
Lt. Frank Drebin: That's an awfully big mustache.
Favorite from 3rd:
Tanya Peters: What are you doing?
Frank Drebin: Oh! I was, uh, just conjugating my next move.
Tanya Peters: Your bishop's exposed.
Frank Drebin: It's these pants.
These movies are classic. Everyone should have these bad boys for $15.
