DLP has weird shadow on screen

I have an LG 44" DLP, and today there is this dark shadow that extends from the left of the screen about 6 inches into the screen. It isn't burn in, and it doesn't seem to be interference.

Anyone ever hear of this, and is there a fix for it?

I know that some DLP screens have had problems with smudges between the screens. You might need to get it cleaned or something.....call either the manufacturer or store that you got it from.

On my sammy dlp, ive seen a couple smudges in the past, but they went away on their own.

I have someone coming to take a look at it on Wednesday. It is weird it just started to happen one day without any warning.

What happened? I have had the same problem with my TV for some time. A "faint greenish" shadow about three inches from the right end of the screen. Runs all the way up the screen and is about an inch thick. Cant always notice it...seems to show up in darker set movies more.

What kind of TV? Is this an actual well-defined bar of green or just a general area?

it is pretty much the same spot all the time. however, it only shows up when watching dvd's and the movie is a darker movie (a lot of soft blacks, etc...like in From Hell).

Might just be a calibration issue. If you can get it to have the correct color that should go away. ISF calibration is recommended for every TV. Not real cheap, though.
