Costco 7/12/05 Million $ Baby $19 V. Long Engage. $20 Woody Allen v1-3 $47ea $10 sale

Note: Costco's stock varies from store to store, so availability may vary from store to store. Most of the new titles and promotions should be available though.

**NOTE: Some members are reporting different pricing being reported by a few stores (I believe San Francisco, CA and one in New York state). Usually a $1 or so higher. Hopefully they'll go back to national pricing soon, so for now just be aware that it can happen.

So you can combine the coupon from the Passport book and get an additional $10 mail in rebate on those titles?

It's mailed to the member on file at the beginning of the summer. Sometimes if you haven't joined, and you join, inquire at the Member Services desk and they have extras they can give you when you join. I do believe that Costco has a guarantee on their membership and you can cancel and get a refund if you don't like the store after shopping.

From Costco's Website:
Costco's Risk-Free 100% Satisfaction Guarantee
On merchandise:
We guarantee your satisfaction on every product we sell with a full refund.
On membership:
We will refund your membership fee in full at any time if you are dissatisfied.

If you aren't a member, there's information on getting a $10 gift card for signing up in the Deals section of this thread. Once you sign up, you can ask if they have a spare coupon book at the member services desk.

If you are a member, they're supposed to mail you the coupon books. If you aren't getting them, see the membership desk at Costco and ask them to put you on the mailing list. They may have extra books on hand to give you if you ask too.

I'm a member and used my coupon today on some "Sex and the City". If I get hold of another coupon, can I use it on some other titles, or is it logged in the system I already used this coupon? (Couldn't decide on certain ones today.)

While it does say one coupon per household, in my experience, they don't keep track of this as I've used similarly worded coupons at Costco multiple times previously.

After all, you could easily return the DVD set for a refund (and a reversal of the coupon) and then rebuy that same DVD with the other titles you wanted, and you would be only using the coupon once.

As long as you have a coupon, you should be able to get the discount.

this book could come thru AMEX. i got the book even tho i'm not a Costco member. And my mom who is a Costco member didn't get one.

Also, the Friends and Sex disks where in a separate area. I picked up some Friends and West Wing DVDs, and the total first rang to over $600 and then they took off the $180. I was gonna pay for sex but decided not to at this time.

P.S. I have any extra coupon if someone in the LA area wanted to pick it up.

I've never received the coupon books. I just pick them up at the member services desk. Sometimes they have some at the door as well.

Never thought I would see such a signature worthy line in a Costco thread.

Anyways...Thanks for posting Blade. I wasn't getting the mailers for a while, but after I updated my address with them, it came on schedule. Might pick one or two titles up.

Go to the member services counter on your next visit and tell them to put you on the mailing list.

There's usually a few decent deals on stuff you buy regularly, not just DVDs.

awesome prices on those Allen sets. If I had the money, and lived anywhere near a Costco (ie- in a state that had Costco) I might consider it.

You think? They're bare bones MGM releases (that's what the Woodman wants, I know). I guess $47 is an okay price for six old non-remastered bare bones DVDs if you really want all the films in a given set, but it doesn't impress me much (except that the sets are a Costco exclusive; who knew Woody bought in bulk?).

costco exclusive? huh. those sets have been available for years. That price might be costco exclusive, but that's about it.

Actually it's only a good deal on the first set, which costs around 20 bucks more than that even at DDD. The other two sets are around 50 so it's not a big deal anyway.

They are in Costco exclusive packaging and boxsets so they call them an exclusive. You can't find these 3 boxsets in most stores though, and definitely not at this price. I figure they will offer $10+ off at some point in the future, or this is foreshadowing that remasters of some Woody Allen films are on the way. I'll hold off.

Is that the cheapest price we've seen on the Essential Steve Mcqueen, or was FYE cheaper?

I believe that Coconuts/FYE was slightly cheaper. If memory serves, the Coconuts price was $44.99. There was a 20% off coupon and free shipping a few weeks ago, so the price would have been $35.99. Take $10 off for the MIR and the final cost would be $25.99. I bought my copy at Costco a few days ago. This way, I don't have to wait for the rebate or worry about sending in the UPC sticker.

At my COSTCO I saw some interesting WB Cartoon sets that had the 850490 price tag #. The bundles I saw were all 42.99 (either that or $43.99, but would be $10 less after coupon) : Jetsons Season 1 / Johnny Quest : S1, Superman :The Animated Series Vol. 1/ Batman : The Animated Series Vol. 1, Wacky Races / Top Cat: S1, and I believe Perils of Penelope Pitstop / Adventures of Dastardly and Muttley (or whatever that's called). Also saw that they had the "New Scooby Doo Movies" set with the same 850490 number. They all were in a big display there. Thought folks might want to know. At $33/34 for 2 WB animated boxes, that's pretty good. YMMV (whatever that means)
