Is there some wierd double standard toward gays vs. lesibans on MTV?

Watching MTV over the weekend and they have a couple of lame "game shows".. Next and Date My Mom... Both shows had gay guys choosing other gay guys to go out with which is fine by me.. But neither show had lesbians picking lesbian partners... Thought that was kind of wierd.. I am not gay and actually wanted to see some girl on girl tv, but is there something more taboo about it?

LB: There has been at least two segments of "Next" with lesbians picking lesbian partners. (In fact I think the second or third episode was one with one segment-lesbian/the other segment-gay. The other lesbian segment was just paired with a regular guy picking girl one.) I've seen the "Room Raiders" lesbian one and there has been a few gay ones, in fact one aired yesterday. I haven't yet seen a lesbian "Date My Mom" episode however one could have aired and I missed it mainly since I don't go out of my way to catch episodes of that show. (not a big fan)

I've not seen any 'Date My Mom' with a female dating the moms, lesbian or straight.

I would like to see more lesbians on tv. Of course, all lesbians are hot. And covered in oil. And in bikinis. And . . .

Oh, sorry. I had to . . . umm . . . go somewhere.

Believe me MTV is doing their best to show gays & lesbians for the youth of America.

You've GOT to be kidding me. Gay men are 10000x more taboo than lesbians. Lesbians people sneeze at because most men (like yourself) find them erotic. It's the gay men that everyone is up in arms about because they're "gross" and god forbid two men are shown being intimate in any way. But bring on the lesbians!

The ones that I see here are named Linda and have haircuts like mine. Not too attractive. Maybe it's a Southern thing.

Come up north. Though I warn you, most that I know will want you to make out with me if you're going to watch them put on a show. They're typically turned on by gay guys. lol

Not the ones I know. Stereotypically, gay men are supposed to love straight women and hate lesbians. Me? I LOVE lesbians...and straight women. It's the straight men that are sometimes difficult to be friends with. Don't know any "men-hating" lesbians either.

I know plenty of men-hating straight women.

I have never had a problem getting along with gay men except for the times that I was a target. Not that you would want me.

I actually love hanging out with straight guys. I typically like them better than other gay guys and get along with them better. Just hard finding the ones that are cool enough with the whole gay thing...or should i say, comfortable enough with their own sexuality.

I never understoond why Men find two Woman together so hot yet two men sick.
I agree Gay men on TV are more of a taboo.
Anyone see Strip Search on VH1? Not gay men necessarily but the show about guys training for a Male Review show certainly has a gay audience. It must be all those shirtless guys wearing g-strings.

Gee...ya think? I almost popped a woody from the preview.

There's another show on VH1....Kept.
I think they're trying to compete with Bravo and Logo!
