Movies with cool car chases...

Just finished watching Ronin, it had some amazing car chase sequences! I've seen The French Connection (also Frankenheimer) and Bullitt, what are some other films with kick-ass car chases in them??

Vanishing Point is the best one that springs to mind.

Please search, like others have said. There are tons of other threads with good recommendations already out there.

Also, William Friedkin shot The French Connection, not Frankenheimer.

Agree with Ronin and Vanishing Point, have both, and they're my favorites for car chases.

The Bourne Identity - great realistic car chase in this one.
The Bourne Supremacy - another great car chase but the supertaxi is a bit distracting.
Batman Begins - a little out there but a whole lot of fun when the Tumbler gets to shine.

The Rock. Hummer + Ferarri + streetcar + San Francisco = Cheesy but fun.

lol!

Doesn't it seem kind of a mixed message to you, to tell someone they shouldn't have a thread yet to respond to their thread anyway?

If you guys are serious about eliminating duplicate threads, why don't the mods lock the dup's?

I was just correcting him, I didn't add a suggestion for a good car chase. And the OP can delete this thread whenever he wants.

Good suggestions so far. It's not a great movie, but I remember the Sarah Jessica Parker/Bruce Willis vehicle Striking Distance had a cool opening car chase.

The last few Brosnan Bonds are all blending together for me, but there was one where there was a great BMW 7-series chase that ended up in a parking garage. On the subject of Bond, I very much enjoyed the car chase in For Your Eyes Only

This may be taking a little different direction in the car chase way but here goes...

* what about the Mad Max movies, especially Thunderdrome ?
