Coming soon: MUST LOVE DOGS. Cusack! Lane! Newfie!

Preview here.

My personal hero John Cusack, my personal obsession Diane Lane, and a Newfoundland dog that looks uncannily like my own?!? All in one movie?

Dammit, I'm a pu**y... but consider me sold!!!

Since I own one I figured I'd chime in here. The white dog in the film trailer that belongs to John Cusack is a West highland terrier (westie). I'll have to check it out as the trailer looked interesting and has my dog in it lol

When does this come out? Haven't seen a release date yet.

I intend to see this as I like Cusack and think Lane is gorgeous for an older woman. What shocks me the most is that these two haven't done a romantic comedy together before, given they were both really prominent in the 80s.

This is apparently a good movie. I've heard the preview / test screenings went through the roof amd the trailer looks amusing.

Diane Lane is one of the best (and hottest) actresses out there right now and John Cuscak is always quirky and cool. Supporting Diane Lane, are Stockard Channing, Dermot Mulroney, Elizabeth Perkins and Christopher Plummer so it has a good cast as well as cute dogs.

Should be good and I'm looking forward to it.

Playing Wilma Flintstone is not exactly the path to stardom, though Halle Berry was in the film as well....

I wonder why they are relasing this at the end of the summer as opposed to the middle? My guess is they think that by releasing it later it can stick around and not get buried, as it is the tail end of the summer.

yeah, how many more times does John Cusack need to make this type of movie. His name has become synonamous with "romantic comedy." How about trying something else instead of making date flicks?

Going back 10 years, this is his third romantic comedy. I don't think he's overexposed just yet.

I count it as his fifth:

Grosse Pointe Blank (1997)
High Fidelity (2000)
America's Sweethearts (2001)
Serendipity (2001)
Must Love Dogs (2005)

Still, only about 20% of his film output for the past 10 years.

They're not conventional romantic comedies, but the main plotline for both involves Cusack trying to get the girl and succeeding. And they're both funny.

Better question would be is: When ever is John Cusack going to come out?

Yeah, Diane Lane is a babe of the 1st degree. Good actress too! Wasn't she Oscar nominated or Golden Globe nominated for "Unfaithful" and "Under The Tuscan Sun"?

Cusack is the man. It has a good cast this film.

Out on July 29th I think.

The premise of this movie looks so-so, but I'll be there for Cusack

I would personally consider HIGH FIDELITY to be one, easily. The other is more questionable.

FIDELITY always seemed more dark than a simple romantic comedy. Hell, while deeply funny, I wouldn't even call it a comedy.

But I'll take your word for it.
