Question about HD content
I don't know very much about HD yet,so maybe one of you here could help me with this.I have an HDTV and subscribe to Directv, but don't have an HD receiver yet.My question is about the regular networks like ABC,NBC,etc.I receive them on the 1-99 channels as my locals and i know i would need an OTA antenna(which i don't want to bother with) to get the HD stuff from those, but i also get the NY and LA network channels in the 300's.So would i be able to watch shows in HD from the 300 ones with a regular HD receiver instead and not need the OTA antenna?

If you have DNS waivers for those channels, then you should be able to get them in HD once you upgrade to a HD-receiver.
They'll show up in the 80s. The rest of the HD channels are in the 70s (Discovery, HDnet, ESPN-HD, etc).
Depending on what TV market you are in, DirecTV is going to be adding local HD channels in the next few years.
