I actually have two of their albums, "Of the Heart, of the Soul, and of the Cross: The Utopian Experience" and "Jesus Wept" (the only hit they had there was "Downtown Venus").

One of their more famous songs was "I'd Die Without You" from the Boomerang soundtrack.

"Set Adrift on a Memory Bliss" heavily samples "True" by Spandau Ballet. You probably heard it before and thought it was the original.

I actually still listen to that song "Obsession" in my car all the time! I don't know any of the cover songs -- only listen to classic rock and oldies.

The only one I'm not familiar with is Missing Persons "Words". It's possible I would know the song if I heard it. I love "Set Adrift...."

Think of a bottle blonde in a dress made of bubble wrap chirping:

"Do you hear me?"
"Do you care?"

and the chorus goes:

What are Words for?
When no one listens, it's no use talking at all

Going back over the lyrics of the songs performed in the series, I about fell off my chair when I saw that "Vaniller" Ice's own lyrics for Survivor are there... and I bring you the chorus...

(Chorus)

I'm a survivor (What?)
I'm not gon give up (What?)
I'm not gon stop (What?)
I'm gon work harder (What?)
I'm a survivor (What?)
I'm gonna make it (What?)
I will survive (What?)
Keep on survivin' (What?)
Sounds like it was written by a "Stone Cold" Steve Austin fan back in 2003.

I don't sing it, but I enjoy it.

I also join you in not knowing any of the covers. Of the 6 episodes and 30 covers total I may have known 3, including Hot in Herre, which is still the best one to date.

Off the top of my head, I don't know Words or Let The Music Play. As said above, I might know it if I heard it, but it is not familiar with it.

PM Damn had some great songs.

Love Obsession.

Very interested in hearing Juice Newton again.

I like that song, but wasn't Destination Unknown their bigger hit and their most recognizable song? Or am I confusing them with someone else?

Whenever I hear that song, I think about a music box with the tinky-picked-at notes.

I would have to agree with you, "Destination Unknown" was more popular (IMO).

The guy playing bass for Missing Persons was on Howard Stern this AM. (Chip Zenuff?) Kinda confirms Pat O'Hearn won't be there. And prob'ly safe ta assume Terry won't be on drums, but he didn't mention the drummer at all.

Said he's a lil nervous with the cover.

Is Patrick O'Hearn still a new age artist? I remember back in the early 90's he had put some records on Winham Hill. I remember being shocked to learn he was in Missing Persons.

Looks like he's still recording.

I have the recording "Between Two Worlds." Not bad. Some nice ceramic percussion instruments.

No kidding. The originals of the 4 artists I knew were horrible. I think Shannon was totally lip-synching.

I think the winner is Shannon's background dancers.

See - now this sentence makes no sense to me. Not the 'great' part - everything else.
