Small crack in DVD
I noticed that one of the DVDs in my X-Files Season 1 set has a small crack in it. It's on the edge of the inner circle (the part that holds onto the DVD case) and extends inward about 2 millimeters. Should this be cause for concern? Since it's on that inner part where there's no data, it shouldn't cause any problems right now. But I'm wondering if the crack might grow larger as it gets pulled out and pushed back into the case repeatedly. These particular DVDs are also pretty tough to pull out of the case, so that may make it easier for the crack to get worse.

Exchange it. It may not grow worse but if you have the means replace it now just in case. Or if you're so inclined, make a backup. It'll mess up the set, which sucks. but at least you'll be able to watch the episodes.

Definitely replace it! I have had that problem with Manhunter (UK R2), and in fact a piece of the inner ring broke off! It's much too late for me to return it to Amazon.co.uk, so I've glued it. I've contacted Kinowelt to no avail. Be careful of laptop DVD-Rom players, as the clip-thing they have to hold the disc can damage discs. (I'd say make a back-up, but I can't say that)

Especially if that piece breaks off inside the player itself... then that could cause a whole slew of problems.
