I can't understand why people buy umd's!

It's so easy to make your own at the same quality! People are dumb, and lazy these days.

I just bought raw deal from the DDD sale for $5.74 too. Damn you DDD.

Some nice deals in the $4.99.

Pulp fiction 2 disc for $9.99 looks like a good deal but I already have it, the rest of those $9.99 dont seem like good deals. Thanks for the post

Beat me to it. I was just trying to look up my order to see if was cheaper during the sale since I also bought it. But I guess if you factor in tax to the $4.99 you don't save a hole lot. I would save .30, which if you factor in gas price I would actually pay more.

I realize it's a bit of a thread hijack, but can one explain what the hell the appeal of a UMD is? I admittedly don't know everything about them (in fact I know very little), but what's the point of paying more money for a crappier version of a movie so I could watch it on a small-ass PSP?

does anyone know if a better version of BASEKETBALL is coming out anytime soon or even rumored, for 5.00 its hard to pass that up. THANKS That 5.00 sale is killer on certain titles.

I'm definately in for Silverado. However, I can't resist Baseketball and Sgt Pepper's (guilty pleasure) for that price!

I would like to also hijack your attempt at hijacking to ask if UMDs have all of the same special features as a normal DVD would have for a particular movie.

It is my understanding that they do not. I own a PSP, and, aside from the Spider-Man 2 that came with the system, I have no intention of owning any other UMD movies.

I've heard about SOME UMD's coming with a few extras...mostly a couple deleted scenes and/or featurette.

I still can't understand the appeal of them either though. Especially at $20.

Gone With The Wind at Target wouldn't happen to be the 4 disc version would it?

Sorry for providing the grammar lesson without actually answering your question. It wouldn't be the first time they made that sort of misprint in the flyer, but I am doubting it.

It could be a bit of lazziness or a lack of necessary hardware (I have no DVD burner or 1 gig duo) but I do own a few UMD movies. I kind of like the fact that I can watch movies on the run with the same system I play games with. I have trouble double dipping unless I can get it cheap, but on a movie like Hostage or Cursed (movies which both have a few features on the UMD and just came out) maybe the novelty of it all has inspired me to spend the extra 5 bucks or so and get the UMD. I also think quality on the movies is pretty high considering the size of the screen they are playing on. But that's just me....

BTW, thanks for the early prices.

It wouldn't surprise me nor would it suprise me that they wouldn't honor it if they did.
