Here's a thread discussing the 2 versions. One post in that thread has links to 2 other threads. You should be able to find your answer there.

No problem. Welcome to the forum. It's always a safe bet to search first.

There aren't too many films that don't have a thread or 2 floating around here. Now an obscure film like Star Wars...

I own both personally. Although if you can only have one get the 25th Anniversary Edition. The Fear of God BBC documentary on that DVD is one of the best movie docs I've ever seen. I'm sure Warner Bros. will eventually revisit this classic and give it the 2-Disc SE treatment (or maybe even the 3/4-Disc CE treatment ala Gone with the Wind and the upcoming Ben-Hur).

I have the 25th Anniversary version and it would have to be a damn good 2-disc for me to double-dip. Unless it has the original movie, I would have no interest in it.

According to the same rumor that sparked the OCT release of the Batman S.E.'s, A Boxset of the Exorcist films is coming out in NOV. I assume it will feature all the films, including both versions of the exorcist and the recent prequels.

ian bain, if you click on the "Edit" button there is an option to delete a post since it seems you double-posted (just in case you were wondering).
