Alpha noirs with good transfers?
I know that for the most part Alpha's transfers tend to run from semi-watchable to terrible, but there are occasionally exceptions. A year or so ago I saw someone mention at the HTF that Alpha's transfer of Impact was basically on par with the more expensive Image (I think) one, so I went ahead and ordered it and was happy with it and glad I didn't pay the extra $10-15 for the other version. I've read recently that Alpha's version of the Big Combo has a good picture as well so I just went ahead and ordered that at DDD (hopefully soon I'll see if it's true). So I was wondering if any of Alpha's other noirs have pretty good presentations. If I remember correctly, I've heard that Kansas City Confidential from them is pretty good too, but I may be wrong about that. Anyone who has any of them have any information to share?
edit: On second thought, it appears that the Image of Kansas City Confidential is very inexpensive, so there's no reason to get the Alpha version of that particular title. Carry on.

Image's version of Kansas City Confidential is much better (same print, but Alpha's comes from a videotape master that has some twitching at the bottom, and is much softer).
Alpha's version of Impact is very good, and they do have some very good quality prints on a few of their DVDs (Three Came Home is another) - unfortunately it only represents about 5% of their catalog...
