Greg Kihn is the only one I am remotely interested in hearing among this lame group.

This is the last episode, right?

They really scraped the bottom of the barrel for this finale.

I went Club Nouveau.

I dunno...since they were a larger group, they could fill the 20 yr later band with "ringers" and pull off a dance type number, which seems to win this thing. (Vaniller, Caruh and Arrested Development)

I think there's one more episode. If you go to the show website at nbc.com and click on tix, it indicates performers for an upcoming show.

Next week's performers and the possible songs they'll sing:
Missing Persons -- "Destination Unknown" (1982)

Shannon -- "Let the Music Play" (1984)

Juice Newton -- "Angel of the Morning" or "Queen of Hearts" (1981)

The Fixx -- "One Thing Leads to Another" (1983)
Finally... a bunch from the 80s!!!!!

But Juice Newton has gone country now... so we'll see if she covers one of her new songs.

I am sure that Missing Persons is basically Dale Bozzio backed by a bunch of twenty-something young guys. I saw that lineup perform in the early 90's and it was pretty disappointing. Dale joked that her band grew up listening to her.

That's disappointing. I got excited when I saw the name.

It's getting really old that this show consists of former lead singers who somehow have rights to the band name singing kareoke with some stand-in musicians who aren't playing. First Flock of Seagulls, then the Motels, etc.

Call up Terry Bozzio and Patrick O'Hearn, they can't be THAT busy. And we know Warren C. is out of a job now that Duran Duran is back to the original lineup.

This show makes me sad. And yet I can't stop watching it.

I'd like WORDS to see if she could do that lil high squeak still, but I thought Walking in La was a bigger hit for them/her?

Mental Hopscoth is my personal fav, but without Terry's drumming, meh...

I guess you are a pretty young guy, because I'm in my mid-20s and I've heard of all of them.

Hot damn, this is the worst Green Day I've ever heard.

Look ma! I can play guitar real fast! It sucks, but...it's fast!!

Actually, I didn't mind Billy Vera performance on his hit and his cover of Ryan Cabrera song.

The stinker of the night has to go with Club Nouveau. Both performances were horrible.

Wasn't that guitar solo the solo from "Freebird," with the drums and all how they were?

I had totally forgotten about Glass Tiger. It was an utterly forgettable episode.

Next week looks more promising.

When "Big Teeth" (the host of the show) revealed the winner of the on-line poll from last week as Howard Jones, I cheered.

However, I thought Glass Tiger was the best tonight... a lot better than that "Starr Jones/Tina Turner/Debra Wilson" Hybrid.

Just goes to show that the audience does have a short attention span.

... ooooo, and wonder what the surprises are next week for the GRAND FINALE!?

Strong agreement. I have all of his albums.

His voice still sounds great and he seems to be eating well.

I turned off the VCR thinking the show was over so I missed the last few covers. I'm guessing I didn't miss too much though.

When I get to the next page will I find out who won?

Greg Kihn's voice sounded pretty good during the verses, but for some reason he sounded like Gene Simmons for the choruses.

Also, anyone catch the flake by the Glass Tiger singer? He started to yell "oh" or something but stopped short, looked confused for a second, and then continued with "you don't care" - I backed it up a couple of times, it was pretty funny.
