Anyone who pre-ordered stuff with last week's FYE 15% should cancel and re-order with this 20%.

In particular, Dead Like Me S2 has gone done from last week's $33 to $30 making the final price $14 compared to ~$18 from before.

Nice find...........I usually don't count the value of rebates at this (and related) sites when I evaluate prices because they force you to literally CUT the UPC off of your package, which kills any resale value....................

However, in this case, there are some good prices without counting the rebates:

Simpson: Season 6 - $26.39
Lois & Clark: Season 1 - $31.99
Constantine: Deluxe - $19.99

The simpsons usually has a slip of paper with the UPC that can be cut. you won't have to mutilate the box.

Good point. Looking at these rebates, I also notice they require the packing slip. How is this going to work if you buy multiple items on the same order (and they each have their own rebate and requirements)?

I've heard stories...
But, worst case all you have to do is just take the dvds in to a local B&M and get the refund there. Since shipping was free (if you orderd more than $50) it shouldn't be a problem getting a full refund.

Those of us who use one-time-use credit card#'s should be able to just cancel the card# used for the pre-orders. Which I will do as a precaution after submitting the cancel request. If they ship it after I cancelled and are unable to charge me, that's not my problem...

Does anyone know if Lost Season 1 will have the UPC on the box or on a separate slip of paper? Like everyone else, I'd rather not cut the box.

Thanks OP!! With the rebate This makes Twilight Zone Definitive Season 3 around $10 cheaper than a DDD 20% sale, about $48 before tax. Great!!

A few things...

1) Re: sending the required packing slip for the rebate: I've been ordering each set separately (since the code can be used multiple times). This means each set gets its own packing slip.

2) I had ordered Simpsons S6 at 15% off (from the last sale) and cancelled this morning through the web site. Within 30 minutes my order was confirmed cancelled, and my gift card was credited. Reordered with no issue.

3) Re: Cutting the UPC. Yeah, this sort of sucks, but it's not all that bad. For example, on Seinfeld S4, I cut a hole in the slipcase (to remove the slipcase UPC), and the UPC from the set under the slipcover shows through this hole. Many new DVD releases with slipcases are found like this in the store these days, so it doesn't look too bad. Also, while I believe resale value is hurt when the UPC is missing, I do not believe the resale value impact is greater than the amount you will receive by claiming the rebate (IE, cutting the UPC for a $10 rebate will not drop resale value more than $10 (IMHO) so claim the rebate).

4) I have not had any issues with coconuts.com rebates (I know others have) although they can be a bit slow.

Wow, awesome! After taxes & rebate, Simpsons s6 will be only $17.71. I doubt I'll find it for less than that. THANKS ZUTTON!!

Wow. This is awesome. This is almost better than the DDD 20% off sale. I ordered Simpsons Season 6 , Oz Season 5, Ren and Stimpy Season 3 and halfish, Dead Like Me Season 2, and the Steve Mcqueen Collection for 154 shipped minus $42 in rebates. What a way to start this Sunday morning. I wish they shared the same in-store prices since Rescue Me: Season 1 is 19.99 after rebate. Thanks OP!

Historically, TWEC is so inept that they ship pre-orders in seperate packages.
Even if the pre-orders all have the same release date and they all ship from the same warehouse.

So, unless TWEC has pulled their shit together in the last year or so,
you won't even have to worry about it.

Here's a link to ad, which has a lot of b+m deals, some of them pretty good. I'll put them in a separate thread, as well.

Good luck with them. They are so screwed up. They changed prices on me after I placed an order and never refunded me the difference.

You might not get anything at all. Just a heads up before you order.

fye is the same company so, yes.

Right now I have a pre-order hung up in limbo. The website says the item has been available for over 2 mos, but apparently they don't want to fulfill it because my price was too low.

I think their rebate link is screw up. Trying to purchase Black Hawk Deluxe version with a $5 rebate but doesn't mention it on the form.

While I admit that I remain skeptical in these situations (I just cancelled an order for the Essential Steve McQueen and am concerned about the result), FYE has been remarkably consistent over the years in delivering on misprices (ROTK, SPS1, etc) and doubled-offer orders - at least to me.

The oc season 2 preorder is $38.39 after the 20% off discount.. $28.39+tax for the OC season 2 doesnt sound too bad seeing how the first was around $40

Well, I just received Lois & Clark S1 and Sopranos S5 from FYE, and they came in the same box with only 1 packing slip.

What do I do? Can I make a copy of the packing slip for each rebate?

Okay maybe i'm retarded but when I go to check out, it keeps asking me to "add an address" I've done it already but there's no option to select the address I've entered to check out and when I re-enter my info, it says there's already an address associated with the nickname I'm using, so I can't get past the "shipping address" screen. What the hell? Am I the only one having problems? There doesn't appear to be any other buttons to move onto the next screen. Help?

Thanks for posting this. I cancelled my FYE.com order from last week using the 15% code, and re-ordered the same 4 sets for $17 less (not only did I get an extra 5% off, but Twilight Zone S3 is also $7 cheaper than it was at FYE.com before the discount).
