Gabriele Salvatores' Quo Vadis Baby?

Gabriele Salvatores' latest Quo Vadis Baby has been set for a late September Italian release courtesy of Medusa Home Video. This is only a preliminary date so further specs and a confirmation to follow up soon.

Salvatores is best known for his Academy Award Winner- Mediterraneo, the somewhat favorite on this board Io non ho paura/I Am Not Scared (2003), and Denti.

Are you talking about the film release or the DVD release?

Thanks, Pro-B.

I sent an email to dvdland.it on Sunday (in Italian). I'll certainly post the response when (and if) I get one.

Well, I got my response from dvdland.it and it's basically a non-response. If my translation is correct, they're saying that the distributor hasn't given them details on audio or subtitles, and until the disc arrives they won't know, but watch their site for details.

http://www.afdigitale.it/ says it does have eng subs. And this website is reliable.

Dear Pro-b, could you post your recent Italian(r2) dvds purchase list, I want to buy this dvd along with other releases to save the shipping cost.

A very good friend of mine has been helping me with my orders from Italy as he now lives there and in the last month or so I received:

Cuore Sacro
http://www.internetbookshop.it/dvd/s...=8010020034383

Sedotta e Abbandonata
http://www.internetbookshop.it/dvd/s...=8010312039577

Prima Dammi un bacio
http://www.internetbookshop.it/dvd/s...=5050582224146

and the R3 La Seconda Mogile

Hopefully these will be coming soon if I don't upset my friend with my constant requests...

La cittą si difende
http://www.internetbookshop.it/dvd/s...=8032134035179

La spettatrice
http://www.internetbookshop.it/dvd/s...=8032700993131

Miracolo a Milano
http://www.internetbookshop.it/dvd/s...=8013147480118

La Notte Brava
http://www.internetbookshop.it/dvd/s...=8032442206766

On my own I want to pick these two (no subs):
http://www.internetbookshop.it/dvd/s...=8017229428579

http://www.internetbookshop.it/dvd/s...=8032134026870

With all of this said Seddota e Abbandonata is a miracle!! The transfer is top notch and blows out everything I have seen before. It boasts the same quality as the Cinema Forever series....

Pro-B,

The dvdland site is now listing the subtitles for QV,B as both English (hearing impaired) and Italian (hearing impaired). I don't think I've ever seen a DVD with just English (hi) and not English as well (other than the R1 Ong Bak, which is obviously an error). Is this something that could be a misprint, or is dvdland still guessing? Any new info?

I just received my copy of Quo Vadis, Baby. I can confirm that it does have English subs! Movie only, not the extras.

Ted...

I must have missed your questions above....

I just received in the mail Quando Sei Nato.......you should definitely consider it for your next batch of titles.

I will, Pro-B. Also just received L'Spettatrice, which I'm really looking forward to seeing in the next couple of days. Thanks for the recommendations!
