BestBuy Promotion (Online Only):Get $10 OFF Every $100, Up to $50 Earning (6/5 - 7/9)

I was at my local Best Buy store and was given a promotion coupon.

Here's the instruction:

1) Go to www.bestbuy.com/order;

2) Sign in or creat a new account;

3) Shop - your saving will be reflected in your online shopping cart.

Earn $10 OFF every $100 you spend online, save up to $50.

Promotion valid 6/5 - 7/9/05.

Enjoy!

Folks, this deal rocks. It allows you to also take advantage of deals like the buy all 5 seasons of Sopranos get $100 off deal (like I did). In addition to the Sopranos, I purchased another couple of DVDs and a couple of music cds on sale to push my total to over $300...got the 100 off, plus another 30. I then took advantage of the in-store pick-up to eliminate the shipping fee (not to mention that the $30.00 discount also ends up covering the tax and a bit more).

It is like I was able to pick up everything at Amazon or another site on sale for at least 40-50 percent off retail...sweet! Almost forgot, I was able to get a free reward zone membership from an on-line link earlier this year (from this site, maybe), so I also earned another $10.00 in reward certificates...aahhh, it feels good to save money.

Regards
Christopher H

Cool!
I'm also in the market for a camcorder.
You just have to make sure the discount is correctly shown in your shopping cart before finalizing everything.

The disclaimer on the offer says:

To be eligible for this promotion, an order cannot contain any excluded items. If an order contains any excluded items, the promotion will not be received. Maximum $50 savings amount. Excludes all computer hardware and packages, Sony PSP hardware and bundles, PS2 hardware and bundles, Xbox hardware and bundles, entertainment pre-sells, gift cards, prior purchases and shipping charges.

I ordered all 9 X-Files box sets last week. I was thinking about returning those and ordering them all again (spend about $450 and get $40 back). But since the disclaimer says that "prior purchases" are excluded, does that mean I won't get the $40 if I try to order all 9 sets again?

If you can return them, do so. I think what they mean is that they won't allow you to just get $40 back by saying - "I bought this last week, give me my discount!"

I don't think the max savings of $50 is correct.
With $1,600+ worth in my shopping cart, it clearly shows, "You save $160.00", then shows the total balance of $1,440.00 highlighted in yellow as the "Sale" price.

Make sure to do an in-store pickup if possible to avoid the hassles of cancellation!

Didn't work for me. I've been eyeing a 32" LCD for the bedroom. When I put it in my cart, I just get the $50 savings.

Hmmm....I don't know why it would do that.

Here is the specific item I'm looking at:

JVC Everio 500.

Click on the link above then click on the "See price in cart" link which is highlighted in yellow. It turns up correct for me each time.

If it makes a difference, the item I'm referring to has yet to be released. It will street on June 15.

damn!

i just ordered a new digital camera today (10% off and free shipping).

then i come on here and see this deal. So I ordered it again, this time through this link. ended up saving $40 over my initial purchase (so i guess my "damn!" was premature). so now i just have to return the first order when it comes in, cause it had already shipped.

One thing to remember, if you put an item for say, $299.99 into your cart, you will only get $20 off. But, increasing the amount in the cart by just one cent to $300 will increase your discount by $10 to $30. The cheapest filler I could find was a $2.99 audio connector.

edited- nevermind, you have to be signed into your acct to get the discount.

There seems to be a question of the maximum amount allowed of the discount. How much of a discount was your purchase?

Can you combine this with other offers? For instance, if you order two Nintendo DS games, you automatically get 10 bucks off... will this stack with the 10 off 100, or are the deals not combinable?

To the guy that said you get $100 off buying all Sopranos seasons, is that offer not online, because I can't get it to work. All I'm getting is the promotional money off! Should I add each season separately or what? I've added all 5 seasons as a bundle!

Please help! Thanks!

The $10 off per $100 states that it can't be combined, but I was able to combine it with the DS deal on some pre-orders.

So it's actually good on preorders too? My fear is that they'll go back and take off the discount because we violated the terms or something, even if the system allows it.

I can't guarantee they won't do that, but I don't think there is too much risk. They don't charge shipping on those pre-orders, so I'll just return them if they change the price after the fact (highly unlikely). If they change the prices in my order prior to shipping (more probable, but still unlikely), I will just cancel. They already have enough dirt on me to put me on the devil list regardless of this deal, so I'm not too worried.

That's odd....when I add that to my empty cart, I get $50 off. Anyone else able to get more than $50 off of their order??

Are you saying that when you click on the link I gave above, and then click on the "See price in cart" link, the camcorder wasn't $1,439.99?

No, the camcorder was $1439.99. The savings at the bottom, where you said they deducted $160, only has a $50 savings.

OK, I added this item into my cart in two different ways:

1) Clicked on the link I have above, added the camcorder into my cart, and went all the way to checkout. No mention of the "$10 off every $100".

2) Clicked on the link provided by the OP that specifically takes you to the Best Buy banner stating, "Earn $10 off for every $100 you spend up to $500", added the camcorder into my cart, and went all the way to checkout. There was a line showing, "Savings: $50".

So yes, you're right. The sale price was $160 off the MSRP + the additional $50 from this current offer.

videophile--

Just curious, were you considering this camcorder as well?
