Beauty & the Geek, 6/1
8:00 PM - The WB
Looking forward to this reality offering. It has gotten decent reviews.
From the producers of "Punk'd," Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg, comes another summer reality TV series debut. "Beauty and the Geek," hosted by MTV's Brian MacFayden, pairs seven beautiful but academically impaired women (read: ditzes) with seven brilliant but socially challenged men (read: nerds) for a chance to win a grand prize of $250,000. Of course, these disparate groups are forced to live together during this grand social experiment -- and wackiness no doubt ensues. In tonight's premiere, the guys and the gals move in, pair up and begin studying for the first challenges -- a spelling bee and a dance contest.

The promos make me laugh... "From the daring mind of Ashton Kutcher". I never thought I'd see the day the guy who plays Kelso and stars in Dude Where's My Car was credited in such a manner.

Hoover & D-Day. "Like a Virgin"
Actually, I would have been subpar on the pop music part. I don't know much about music (50 Cent and Outkast) from the last 5 years.
That guy with the arms flailing make be the biggest geek I have ever seen.
Very entertaining show.

I'm sad Cheryl is gone becasue she really was dumb. The D-Day stuff and when she thought he answered the Saturday Night Fever question incorrectly was funny.
Richard will get old really quick.
Joe will probably kill himself before the end of the show once Brad nails his partner.
I like how the one guy relates everything to the Dukes Of Hazzard

I loved the D-Day comment as well. I wish they would let McFadden reply w/ a wise-ass remark every now and then, but I guess in the end it is rather unnecessary.
Not bad at all really - the girl who got the boot tonight was kind of hot.
The lingirie model is kind of goofy looking - particularly her mouth.

The digital cable channel guide listed it as airing tonight, so I tuned in. Got an episode of "Smallville" instead (the channel's both a WB and UPN affiliate, which makes for some screwed up schedules). I'd never seen that show and ended up watching the whole thing - not bad.
Looks like the channel is actually airing "Beauty & the Geek" on Saturday, so I'll just catch it then.

Pretty funny so far. I'm with Red Dog - Flailing Arms Dude might be the geekiest geek ever. Him introducing himself to the girls was classic.
BTW, IMO, Scarlet's the hottest, Krystal's got the best body.

Pretty funny premise. They balanced it pretty well because so far I don't really perceive any of the girls to be too good for most of the guys. Richard is a bit much though. He really needs to turn it down a notch. His spaziness is going to get annoying fast.

A little overrated in the early reviews but still entertaining. I had a hard time believing some of these people weren't overdoing it quite a bit for the cameras, but with ... two hundred and fifty thousand dollars on the line, you'd assume they were trying in the challenges.
I was sad to see Cheryl go. I've always been turned off by overly ditzy blondes with uneven tans and creepy white teeth, but she had a pretty normal face and personality with a hot bod. Some of those others are just annoying. I love how "Caitilin" pronounces her name. She's an "aspiring fashion expert".
