Entire 1st Season of Entourage on HBO this Wed. 5/25

Not that it was a very long season . HBO2 will run all 8 episodes back-to-back this Wednesday night, in case anybody hasn't seen it yet. I believe s2 starts in June?

For those that haven't seen it, I'd recommend it. It's definitely not going to win any awards, but it's just a fun show with lots of hotties.

I've been watching them every sunday in May. I love that show.

Does anyone know how many episodes the second season will be? 8 is way too short.

Same here.

thefutoncritic.com indicates a 14-episode order for S2. Hopefully, that is correct.

Wasn't Jeremy Piven nominated for a Golden Globe? He is excellent in this show. And there definitely are some hotties in it. Too bad they all don't get nekkid. There's surprisingly little boobage in this show.

Just wish the DVD set wasn't priced so high for a season of 8 half hour shows.

It would be criminal if this show did not get Emmy noms for Best Comedy and Best Supporting Actor (Piven). JMHO.

Excellent! I always thought the first season was too short.

Meh, probably. Shows how good of a critical eye I have for acting . I suppose upon further review, it is just as good (better) than most 1/2 hour sitcoms on network TV.

I may be in the minority, but this show pales to most of the original HBO programming.

Poor writing and that putz Turtle's gotta go.

I agree, it's not on par with most of HBO's programming, but I still think it's better than your typical network sitcom - Joey, King of Queens, George Lopez .

Count me also in your camp. I find the show mildly amusing, and Jeremy Piven is very good in that character. But the premise of the show wore thin on me after just a few episodes, and overall I rank it as one of the weaker original HBO shows. Now that Sex in the City is off the air, of all of the original HBO programming I mind missing an episode of Entourage the least. Curb Your Enthusiasm is 10 times the comedy Entourage is. Just my opinion.

No way! He's by far my favorite of the 4 main characters.

The thing is...he's supposed to be a putz.

And I'm not sure what you mean by poor writing. Are you complaining about what the characters are actually saying, or are you referring to storylines?

This isn't a drama. It's not even trying to be a "smart comedy." It's an excuse to turn your thinking caps off for 30 minutes and imagine how great it would be to live life like these guys are doing. And I think it accomplishes that very well.

You nailed it right there in the last paragraph. These guys are around my age so when I am watching this show I usually imagine, "How awesome would it be to live like these guys?" Partying with celebs, the hot women, driving in the Rolls getting high, free home theater systems, etc.

I really enjoy Entourage and am looking forward to the new season. If it is true that it will be 14 episodes, then that kicks ass! Can't wait...

I caught part of an episode last night, I forgot which one, but Ari was jacked on Viagra and when his wife turned him down for sex he said, "come on...it's like R. Kelly at recess."

Ari has about 80% of the best lines on the show. That R. Kelly one was great, as was "Do they drive like that in Tieneman Square, bitch?!" in episode 1.

Plus, "Do you wanna hug it out? Let's hug it out, bitch" is something my friends and I use all the time.

If you have Comcast digital cable and subscribe to HBO, you can watch the entire first season anytime using the newish "On Demand" feature (available until June 6th.)

Along with Piven, props should be given to Val Kilmer for his guest performance in The Script and the Sherpa episode.

I know Turtle's supposed to be a putz, but he's an annoying putz, who isnt entertaining me or making me laugh as a putz.

Larry David plays a putz on CURB and he's VERY ENTERTAINING & FUNNY.

Believe me, I wanted to love the show, its got a great premise, but I just think the writing is very poor (but better than George Lopez & My Wife & Kids & Jim Belushi Show ... which of course isnt saying much). Piven is a very good actor and is the only reason to watch it. The other characters are lame.

Just my opinion. Its coming back for a 2nd season, so there are many who do like it. I just don't.
