Ep 3 is already the monster film other films are ducking as far as release dates go, it's a given to rank as the box office #1 for at least a few weeks.. In many locations you might not even be able to see it on the opening weekend..
So FOX gets all that hype and talk about the film and so on.. then you show ep 2 and probably get more viewers for FOX (sweeps now ya know) and maybe the film gets a small boost yet again, not that I think it will really need it.
Just one of those rare cases where the film really does not need to be pushed all that much.. Vs say making sure you show Pitch Black before Chronicles of Riddick comes out. In that case the TV helps new movie, in this case I think fox want the new movie to help them showing something on TV.
I know it's aways strange to think about the warped numbers of TV vs films. Even poor rated shows still pull in millions and millions of viewer in ONE night.. Vs a film that needs in many case a week to get to the same viewers and that's if the film is a hit. Some films never even come close to the numbers a lower 50 ranked show can pull in.

man, fox sucks
full screen
I'm watching CBC's broadcast
widescreen and the color is better. fox's is slightly faded
sure CBC started about 25 seconds later, but it's a better broadcast

Watching this now in HD...it looks amazing...although I am kinda dissapointed they cropped it from 2.35 to 16x9...and it is time edited...they cut out the gundark dialog in the elevator between Obi and Ani.

What the fuck, they couldn'tve picked any time other than Sunday to show it? I mean, Star Wars is Star Wars, but I hope this doesn't become a regular thing (using Sunday time-slots everytime they have a movie of any interest), because that's how they fucked Family Guy in the first damn place.

What the hell are you talking about? They are using this to pump Episode III to some degree.
Also, Family Guy can not be screwed anymore. it's a marketing money machine for fox. They will not cancel it. no way no how.

They kept the FOX bug off the screen for this, too bad they don't give ALL their shows that respect...
