Alright, you know the song that everyone has at their wedding? I'm sure that a hip-hop or techno song that was big on the radio in the last few years samples it but I can't think of it. Any ideas?

There's also an entire disc of meditations on the canon called "Continuo" that has a bunch of remixes and interpretations on it - some are triphoppy, others are new age style - all in all it's pretty good though. Not exactly a rap song, but you may find you like it...

There was also some stupid "Graduation" song that came out around the year I graduated (2000). This crap was played ad nauseam at all graduation parties, etc etc.

It's the Octagon one I was thinking of. I actually have most of Kool Keith's projects, but someone stole both my copies (rap and instrumental) of the Octagon album a few years ago at a college party. Last night I went on iTunes and checked Octagon but they only have a couple of tracks available. Thanks for the reminder!

The rhythm for Blues Traveler's "The Heart Will Bring You Back" (not the actual title, I know) is a direct copy.

I have that. Not bad, but can be overkill if you listen to it all at one sitting. My best friend - who HATES canon - couldn't stand it when I put it on.

A few years back at a Weird Al convention, there was a standup comic who did a bit on this song. He played some instrument ( I think a violin) and would play Pachelbel, then segue into the other songs, I'm pretty sure one of them was a Green Day song. Does anyone else remember this or maybe seen him somewhere else?

tks

Bond does a version of it called "Lullaby" on their Classified cd. One of the better pop versions out there in my opinion since they actually have a classical background.
