FINALLY..."Urban Legends 3: Bloody Mary"...everyone can now rest easy....eh...

The trilogy is now complete, and the unending speculation that has raged forth on the DVDtalk message boards can finally come to an end. The one you've all been waiting for is here. On July 19th, this movie will hit DVD.

The most surprising thing about this movie is that a ton of people probably had no idea that it had gone into production and was so close to a dvd release.

Less surprising is that nobody cares.

Urban Legends 3: Bloody Mary, directed by Mary Lambert.... of Pet Semetary 1 & 2.

I don't think UL is mentioned in that thread yet, but it'll be added soon. I did do a search before posting this, though, and came up with nada.

Right, I just said what I did because movies like this will apparently continue to come out when I doubt anyone wished it'd happen and that thread will thrive because of it.

You did right in posting a thread about this as it's yet another prime example. If anything, at least Mary Lambert is still getting work after her Madona days.

A review:

I actually liked the first two Urban Legend movies, but I have a soft spot for slasher movies... even if they're awful I usually enjoy them. Reading the plot for this one, it sounds a lot like Candyman. Granted, that film was inspired by the original Bloody Mary legend... but still. Whatever, I'll rent it anyway.

Sounds decent. I'd definitely rent it.

I don't recognize any of the people in this, but looking at IMDB, 6 of the cast members have been on Everwood.

But hey, one of them was on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, so there you go...

I've been waiting for a decent movie about the Bloody Mary legend (Candyman aside). Looks like that wait will continue. Funny how they will continue the Urban Legends title, a name that was never that popular in the first place.

6 cast members have been on Everwood because this movie AND Everwood are filmed in Utah. They are local actors who were hired for 1 or 2 lines on Everwood, and possibly the same case for UL3.

I can't lie I always enjoyed the Urban Legends premise (really enjoying the first flick, having only a luke warm reaction to the second) so I'll most likely check this out.

Seems I missed the most important news in the original post... Groucho is sarcastic?
