BMG Music Club class action lawsuit

I'm not sure if this is old news or not, but you can't search "BMG" here at DVDTalk so I decided to post (or repost as it may turn out).

BMG was sued last year over shipping and handling charges and I believe false/misleading sales prices for its Music club. As a former member, I received the stock e-mail yesterday as they're required to send out alerting potential class members to the suit, and was directed here: http://www.bmgmusic.com/stelkcase/?site=stelkcase

That site shows you a pleading from the case.

If you are a former member, basically what the class action entitles you to is 2 CDs at 75% off list price, free of shipping/handling charges. Current members get 1.

It seems silly, but I think I'm going to fill out the claim form nonetheless so I can receive my voucher. I just wanted to post it here to alert others who may have been members and didn't get the email (mine went straight to Junk Mail), and also to see if its legitimate.

P.S. The link I provided will have another link in the upper right-hand corner to a claim form you can fill out.

About time. $3.95 for shipping and another $3.95 for handling. Who would have thought they abused that.

Thanks for the form. Not sure if giving them more business is the right thing to do. 75% off or not.

"Only those Class Members who are no longer active members of the BMG Music Club need to submit a claim form. Active club members will automatically be mailed a Voucher, unless they opt out of the settlement."

I may have missed it, but did anyone catch what the timetable on this is?

Is there a date by which all claims must be filed?

I feel kinda uneasy about it, but I suppose it's legitimate. I figure I'll happily fork over $9 for two CDs.

The link discusses applicable timeframes. I believe it's since 1990 and any point since; 14 years ago is just within that range.
