Swimming with Sharks: SE - 6/7!

DavsDVD:

Most double-dips are worthless. Then there are those that are essential. This is one of the latter. Lions Gate will release Swimming With Sharks: Special Edition on June 7th. This new edition of the acerbic black comedy, starring Kevin Spacey and Frank Whaley, arrives with a new anamorphic transfer and Dolby Digital Surround tracks. Extras will include commentary tracks with director George Huang, Kevin Spacey and cast & crew, deleted scenes, the "A Look Back at Swimming With Sharks: 10th Anniversary" and "Let's Do Lunch" featurettes and "Shark Tales: Real-Life Stories from Industry Assistants." Retail will be $19.98.
Cannot wait. Held out for YEARS just for this.

Awesome. Just awesome! Never in a million years did I expect a better edition, so I've just been holding on to the lousy Trimark disc. I'm all over this!

Kevin Spacey's Beyond the Sea streets the same day, and two more new-to-DVD movies are out around the same time with Kevin: Dad and Long Day's Journey into Night! Great time for Spacey fans.

This is great! Now bring on a SE of The Hudsucker Proxy and The Game, and three of my main wants will be released.

I've had the R2 version of SWS, with the commentary track, for quite a while but I'll double dip for this one the day it's released.

Very awesome news. I love this movie, but held off because it was only full frame. Can't wait to pick this one up, and it is cool that it has a commentary with the director and Kevin Spacey. Spacey has yet to do a commentary, so I'm looking forward to listening to it.

Spacey does a commentary on his Albino Alligator (another one I'm holding out on, since it's non-anamorphic), and the upcoming Beyond the Sea.

I had this and Sling Blade SE pre-ordered on Amazon.ca, and they list 1-3 week availability. Probably because I ordered the import versions so I don't get the French text on the covers.

Not really. It'd probably be faster, but it'd also be more expensive. I added another item to bring it up to $40CAN for free shipping. Plus, it's really hit and miss as to whether I'll get snagged by Canada post for PST, GST and the irritating $5 service charge. I figure I've waited this long, so what's another week?
