Jim Lee's WildC.A.T.S. complete series coming 7/19.
http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=3259
Paraphrasing here:
The brief 13-episode animated series based on Jim Lee's Image Comic WildC.A.T.S. - Covert Action Teams which attempted but failed to give Marvel's X-Men a run for its money in the early '90s is coming to DVD on July 19th in a 3-disc set.
I vaguely remember this series due to a push by Image Comics at the time to become the next big rival to Marvel and DC. I also had a set of WildC.A.T.S. collectible trading cards. I think the cards were cooler than the series.

Thanks for the news!
I remember watching this show, but I can vaguely remember any specific episodes though. The comics were great, and Jim Lee is still one of my favorite artists. I probably will be picking this up

I collected all Image comics (including WildC.A.T.S.) untul Image dissolved, yet I never heard of this series. May have to check this out.

I liked the cartoons and will have to shelve the VHS tapes now. Never say never to the eventual release of anything to DVD-I always thought this show would never get released. Thanks for making my day.

This cardset I had may have been of other Image characters other than WildC.A.T.S., I can't remember. I had a lot of cool sets of collector's cards up till about '97 when those CCG sets started to take over and the demand for non-CCG card sets dropped off.

I never liked Wildcats until it's most recent run by Joe Casy, & I don't remember the cartoon but I do remember The Savage Dragon cartoon, which probably has a good chance to get a DVD release if Wildcats did.

Erik Larsen has talked a few times about Savage Dragon getting released on DVD, he said there is a hold-up because of the USA/Universal merger a few years back.
And Image indeed better than ever. Invincible and the Walking Dead are two the best comics coming out from any company.

Back on topic, I'm still excited for this release

Jim Lee sold his characters to DC, other than that, the company's ownership has remained stable between the four remaining co-founders.
As for the DVD release, I hope that it might show Disney they need to release X-Men in season sets.

I thought the animation was not as great as the Lee comic, and the stories were too kiddie, with oversimplified stories and action. But better than the Street Fighter, Savage Dragon and Mortal Kombat cartoons.
Exo-Squad was actually TOO mature for me when I was a kid. Entire races and galaxies getting massacred every week, freaky stuff.
