Samurai Cinema Update
I spoke with the production manager at Animeigo and here is the lowdown. No exact dates yet, but I have the months.
Samurai Banners in July.
Demon Spies in August.
Red Lion in September.
Shadow Hunters 1 & 2 in October.
These are the dates they are available for sale on their website(I presume) and are usually available at retail 2-3 months later.
Heard back from him and all but SB will be from new prints and restored BY THEM. SB will be a port of the R2 release(he says they got the master tapes), and we should be pleased. Yahoo!

Great news.
I share your hopes in regards to the video improvement. I realize Animeigo is a much smaller company than HVE/Criterion but Criterion's production of Sword of Doom, considering it is an older film, is infinitely much better than Animeigo' Samurai Assassin.
