1) Don't trust the imdb when it comes to gossip. Their "News" is just as bad as any gossip rag.

2) The man's directed 3 mockumentaries in a row. He's also partially responsible for the definative mockumentary This is Spinal Tap. Let the guy go explore other fields.

3) I liked A Mighty Wind, but I could see that the team was struggling creatively. Frankly I would be worried about significantly dimished returns if he and Levy continued to just make mockumentaries.

4) Just because it's not a mockumentary doesn't mean that it won't use the improvisational comedy that has made his recent films so good. Improv can work in other genres as well.

5) Never say never. Who would've thought that 12 years after Spinal Tap he'd return to the mockumentary with Waiting for Guffmann? Even if he goes another 12 years, it's still possible he might make another mockumentary somewhere down the field.

Maybe he'll finally make another classic like Almost Heroes.

Maybe he just wants to spend more time at home with the wife.

I know I would.

Not to split hairs, but Spinal Tap was more of a "Rocumentary".
