PS2: Wireless through USB ports?
Is it possible to have wireless through the USB ports on a ps2? Also, what are the ps2 ports for other than a headset?
Thanks!
Thanks!

In addition to the headset the USB is used for a keyboard with games like Everquest. I've also heard of some thumb drives showing up as a memory card in the PS2 browser. Action Replay Max comes with a compatible thumb drive that can be used to transfer saves and update cheat codes. I think people were using a USB modem to play Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 online long before Sony released the official network adaptor.
I've never heard of it being used for a wireless controller, or to connect to the net wirelessly.

If you want to connect your PS2 wirelessly, you could get a wireless ethernet bridge (assuming you already have a PS2 network adapter). I got a Netgear ME101 on Ebay a while back for about $40 shipped and it works perfectly so far. I don't believe a USB wireless adapter would work 100% as the majority of games that are out now aren't made to look for a network adapter on the USB ports.
The only thing I use the USB ports for on my PS2 are the headset and microphone for Karaoke Revolution.
